Jesus Vinny. You have what is arguably the most broken weapon in the game, heavy armour and all sorts and you choose to throw the most basic pyromancy in the game at him as opposed to just attacking him to death? And then you turn your back to him twice?

Man this was a great video, I love being able to experience Dark Souls through these things as it's a game I'll never play myself but this allows me to see what it's like in a humurous awesome way!

@ltsquigs and @rorie are doing a great job too, I don't get the hate.

haha I can't believe Vinny attacked that Moonlight Butterfly even though the message told him not to.

@topsteer: The Four Kings, in particular, gain an enormous amount of health between the regular game and the first new game+. I had a ton of trouble with them as a mage (which usually obliterates bosses) until I switched to two-handing the Moonlight Greatsword.

I'm totally with you. But I think these have convinced me to give Dark Souls 2 a shot. Maybe with some sort of walkthrough on hand.

Another game I'll never play but will happily watch someone else, especially Vinny play.

The Four Kings fight's outcome was unexpected.

This was fucking great. And that last fight, damn. VinnCo!

Eh I've never felt completely outmatched when invaded or invading people. Some people are really bad and just stand there while you pelt them with magic, not even blocking or moving away to heal.

Unless you play a really slow character (bad idea anyway) you have a decent shot of winning without a pvp build. Only time I've felt completely overpowered was a guy who hit me with some kind of full aoe attack that took my stamina to zero and killed me in one hit while I was blocking, but I bet if I had seen the tells better I could rolled away.

The only characters that I feel are badly designed for pvp are pure mages since the magic targeting system in Dark Souls is so terrible. Avoiding magic is crazy easy since there is no way to cleverly place your shots. I once fought another who invaded with and we went at it for like ten minutes because we couldn't hit each other. Eventually I got bored and tried givin' him the sword and he had better equipment for the job.

On a unrelated note, last night I beat Smough and Ornstein last night with my mage kill Smough first. It was a mighty good fight and did it on my first try. I tried summoning some folks, but they all failed so I went in solo. I used all my magic and Ornstein had about a third of his health left. I went to use Great Magic Weapon and forgot I couldn't cast it on an already magic weapon. So I stumbled through my bags, found another magic weapon, which wouldn't work again. I finally found my +10 longsword I forgot about (it had been a few months since I played this character) while Ornstein is attacking me. I used GMW making it quite potent and finished him off with no magic and 0/20 flasks left. It felt great. It felt exactly like I want games to feel.

I would love to see Vinny try the DLC. He is right around the correct spot, if you do it before you beat the game you would make it a bit easy. I love how Artorias of the Abyss forced me to change my fighting style so much. Vinny's style of fighting would be almost completely useless since he (not a story spoiler but sort of a combat spoiler is you are super sensitive) would never have any stamina at all. That fight teaches about avoiding attacks instead of just blocking them. . Did Vinny fight Sif yet? Its cool if you fight him after the DLC even it is slightly out of order and Sif ends up being a bigger pushover than pinwheel. Doing that DLC boss will problem help a lot with the final boss, since almost every boss in dark souls moves like a slug with a bad knee, which is why I think so many people have trouble with Gwyn. I'd have to say the hardest boss in Dark Souls is pre Taurus Demon Havel for his ring.

Four Kings are very difficult if you are stubborn. Trying an elaborate strategy is very tough. If you try blocking, dodging a lot or whatever: you will either die or end up having to fight multiple Kings at the same time which will also result in death.

But yeah, if you just equip heavy armor and keep hitting the attack button, you will win.

What are they talking about? Four Kings is one of the easiest pushover boss in the game. Most people kill it on there first try.
