The Ninja Hideaway track is, I believe, a concurrent release on Mario Kart Tour and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's Booster Course Pass. And that's kinda neat.

I've been too online and have seen/read the haranguing and discourse on how the tracks in the Booster Course Pass look. For me, I'll take the touched-up mobile ports after getting Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on sale during the March 10th sales. I ain't getting from Nintendo for buying Mario Kart 8 and its DLC on Wii U, after all.

Respect to those that are disappointed with how the tracks look, or that a Mario Kart 9 is now farther off.

I miss playing super mario kart with my friends as a kid. Probably the most enjoyment I had from a game in those days.

My co-workers and myself prior to the pandemic got way way into MK8. Where we were literally playing it every lunch and at the end of every workday.

We started entering into a tournament at a local bar and won it three times in a row. At that point we felt kinda guilty and stopped entering that tournament but kept up play in the office right up until we switched to remote work.

Some of us are back in the office now and we've been extra busy so we haven't actually started playing again but I'm hoping this DLC re-sparks the need to drift.

I've played a bit of these first set of courses and I think their pretty good. Ninja Hideaway is definitely the stand-out. Though I will say it's a little weird how these courses we not really re-worked with the gravity stuff in the same way that classic courses in the base game were reworked with that feature. Like the wallriding in Toad's Turnpike. Wondering if that's indicative of a design change or maybe the time they had to make these courses.

There's a tournament mode that's worth looking into for the next time you want to play with the community.

Also I feel 150cc is a lot more fun for casual play.
