Why does Shep-Shep have some a hardcore case of bitch-face in this version? The auto-import of the face settings together with the ME2 animation system make Shep-Shep look constantly pissed off.

Maybe it's one of the mods they have installed.

shooting is good (better than ME1), assembling the squad and doing their missions is good, main story missions are poop, ending is poop

Is the DLC worth it? I’ve been thinking about playing ME:2 for the first time, but I was put off at the pricing of the campaign DLC.

Edit: I forgot that they modeled Miranda's face on Yvonne Strahovski's. It must have been so weird for her to read those lines about being genetically engineered to be beautiful and then see her own face say it.

The Shadow Broker DLC for Mass Effect 2 is truly incredible. It involves one of the most memorable vistas in the entire series for me. Even as much of the series has blurred together for me, that DLC has remained vivid.

@kensanity: If you wanna save as much money as possible, stick with Shadowbroker and Arrival--they're both important to the overall plot in ME3, and Shadowbroker's just plain great regardless. (Oh, and if you like Liara as a character/romanced her, it's absolutely key to her story.) As for the rest:

Kasumi's one of my favourite characters in the franchise, and I love her personal mission, so I'd firmly recommend her DLC if you can stretch to it.

Overlord's a really cool little sci-fi sidestory, that I enjoyed a bunch.

Zaeed's alright, but I didn't like him as much as Kasumi, and his personal mission wasn't anywhere near as good.

Firewalker's kinda bleh, but if you miss the vehicle segments from ME1, it has some of that. Plus, if you don't play it before Overlord, the Hammerhead kinda just... Shows up... Out of nowhere. At least as I recall.

There isn't much to Normandy Crash Site, but I still play it every time I go back to the game. It feels important to let Shepard say goodbye.

I'm pretty sure the rest are just weapon/armour packs, and a few alternate looks for squadmates. I like some of the DLC weapons/armour, but they're far from vital, and the squadmate look stuff's basically down to your taste.

I'm glad this started back up again. Excellent! I like to sit on my couch and watch it on Roku, but I need to remember to come here and leave you a thank you comment.

...why is that Genesis comic in there, it ruins the pacing of the whole beginning :(.

Otherwise, yeah, it's great to see someone watch Mass Effect 2's opening for the first time. It's a hell of an opening for a hell of a game.

Oh god, they dind't import their save! The comic only shows up when you don't import!!1111 D:

But it brought over the imported character design? I don't see why it would bring over the character design and not the ME1 decisions?

Man, that tali face is bad in that mod, the mystery and the vague eye glow was the best part.

This is such a great series. I watched the first few eps of ME1 when this started and have since binged the first season in a matter of days. The best part of this first episode is Vinny's enthusiasm, as it mimics my own nostalgia and love for this game.

The comic was added into the PS3 version for free since those players didn't have access to ME 1. PC/360 players wanted the option to have it so Bioware added it into the available DLC.

When you get to ME 3 don't install that comic as it was from the Wii U version where those players didn't have access to ME 1/2.

@msuhitman: The reason you don't want the comic installed is it overwrites your progress file imported and forces you to make the choices again and uses that as the save file import. The issue that creates is many sidequests from the previous game defaults to that you didn't do them.

@kirkyx: It was included in the PS3 release for free since at the time of ME's 2 PS3 release they had no access to ME 1. By popular demand it was added as a pay DLC for ME 2 on PC and 360.

@justin258: They just mass bought all of the DLC not knowing the comic was originally for PS3 players w/o access to ME 1 and just included as a paid option when PC/360 players wanted access to it.

@kensanity: I think all of the DLC is totally worth it, but if you have to only choose one or two things definitely pick Shadowbroker and Kasumi. Shadowbroker is still one of the best DLC's in all of gaming, and Kasumi is a nice change of pass that gives you access to the best SMG in the game, and it's mandatory to have if you want to beat the game on Insanity.

@australianbeef: alex is way too cautious for that.

The entire previous game, he tried to snipe with a pistol, and here, he says he doesn't want to get into sniper rifles. Infiltrator would be best for him just biting the bullet and capitalizing on his preferred range, but as ME 2 had so few open areas, Sentinel's Tech Armor can pair with his pistol just fine.

It would have been smart for him to use Vanguard the way it should have been. If Alex had taken the time to pay attention to how Liara affected fights, or Vinny told him, lift and throw would be his best friends. Instantly take a couple enemies out of the fight with a lift and throw, adrenaline, and lift another.

Hurt so bad when they decided to add ammo to weapons and betray the lore they established in ME1 just have a reload animation ultimately becoming Gears of Mass Effect

Says a lot that the comments are WAY more okay with Cerberus' "gentle touch" racism than Ashley's more direct, blunt flavor.

They have a lore explanation that makes total sense, so...

Phrasing?

@undeadpool:Yeah I'm not sure what the hell I was thinking when I typed that. I must have been drunk. I think I was trying to make a point on how people always excessively reload in video games and do it because it looks "cool." (I don't know)

There was something mentioned from the codex in Mass Effect 1 explaining how the weapons worked and why they didn't require ammunition.

My biggest problem came when playing on higher difficulties in Mass Effect 2 and coming across situations where I'd just run out of ammo.
