Once you do the IFF mission, you can only do two missions before bad things start happening. If you want to do things right you need to do as much as possible before the IFF mission.

Alex would probably want to avoid that solely because he's mostly playing paragon, yeah fair enough that makes sense.

If I were to revive the argument to have taken Vanguard over Sentinel again, it might be to say that you'd get Shockwave, which is the ability Jack has that you were pretty pleased with. You're not as reckless as I am, so the Biotic Charge might not get the play it needs if you went that way, but Shockwave is pretty dope.

Alex and Vinny already said at the end of the video that they're going to hold off on the IFF mission to to do the rest of the recruitment and loyalty missions so I don't really think we need to worry about him doing it too soon.

Tali's "go for the optics" is a reference to Minsc's battlecry from Baldurs Gate, "go for the eyes Boo!"

I'm glad @vinny enjoys how Quarians titles adopt their home ship names. One of the BEST underrated jokes in the whole ME series involves a prominent Quarian with a really goofy ship name. The other options he considered changing his name to are on the same level of humor of Geth Rogan.

@alex Also keep using the Mattock, it is definitely the best assault rifle in the game. Also, it's a damn shame Alex didn't bring Garrus on this mission as he has the best lines. "And here I thought I'd had my betrayal and attempted murder for this year..."

Please make sure to make loyalty missions priority number one! They're very important.

Man, this is a great game. Maybe Vinny is right. This is definitely the best Mass Effect game and high on the top 5 of best games of last gen (underneath Dark Souls which is the best). It makes me sad for whatever EA and Bioware is now. If only they stuck to just making great games.

Anyway, be careful Alex. I do not want to say much more, but be careful. There's a lot of great content in this game and you don't want to miss any of it O.o

If I remember correctly, however, the game does a bad job at foreshadowing the fate of the crew if you don't hurry up. I mean, I believe it only vaguely hints at it through some dialogue after the crew has already been abducted (and up to that moment the game has given you the sense that you can take forever doing whatever). So the game does very little to prepare you for it and if you still have major (loyalty) missions to do at that point, you're basically screwed. But I'm sure Alex will be notified in time.

The Claymore shotgun is a special shotgun that only Grunt can use. You even researched it just for him. You should equip it on him every time.

It sounds the same on all quality versions. It was only noticeable on the intro and your voices (not gameplay). Just listened to last weeks and it isn't present. I don't have the vocabulary to describe it but the bass is a little crackly and your voices sound flatter and louder. It's not quite as bad but similar to that one episode in the first game where the audio was bad.
