@humanity: Nobody's forcing you to listen to it. Just don't listen to it! I get that the sounds bother some people, like that's a legit thing, but it's not universal and they weren't doing it with malice. There's zero reason to be angry over this. Just ignore it and move on.
It's not, but you're right that we don't have to listen to it either. That won't stop me or others voicing their valid opinions about this bit of content though.
I don't like scatalogical humor. People talking about piss and shit and vomit and even farts makes me cringe because I think it's gross and I don't find bodily excretions funny. But there are people who base their entire sense of humor around that stuff. I don't flip my shit and act like a poop joke is a personal affront to me and leave angry comments demanding that people stop.
Voicing an opinion on the eating noises is one thing, but people are being WAY too dramatic about it.
@garwalk: Nah, but I respect your opinion about you enjoying it. (Nice move removing most of my past comment there btw)
Comparing dislike of this to not liking scat humor sounds incredulously hyperbolic but whatever. I enjoyed the vast amount of E3 content this site produces in past years including most of Abby's E3 vlogs. This however I could not like at all and I will be sure to voice that dislike on the comments here.
Not to be a contrarian but I was honestly indifferent to the chewing and listened to the whole thing first time around and never got what the whole thing was about until I got to this comments section. I figured it was with crunchier stuff like chips as it would be too loud. Do people picture the podcaster eating and that's gross? Is it gross if you watch a movie and people on screen are eating? I truly don't understand.
Some people really don't know how to read a podcast description, huh.
It was an ok goof (presumably/possibly somewhat inspired by Waypoint also doing said goof) for a 15-minute mini-podcast, the vitriol in here is a bit baffling. Like if you really dislike people eating food in a mic, maybe don't listen to the tiny podcast that's clearly advertised as doing that, there's plenty of other non-food-mic GB content coming out.
Good lord, y'all children need to toughen up if the sound of chewing bothers you that much. Or maybe learn to read and don't click a podcast where the description is literally "We're BACK and we're EATING FOOD into the mic." with a thumbnail of them eating.
Damn millenials and they're not understanding the lockdown craze.
I say that as someone closer to Abbys age than the rest haha.
The lockdown craze is a) a great song. And b) it brings back the simpler, smaller times of Giant Bomb and I can't remember, but Ryan was still with us? It's a flood of memories of late nite E3 and easily the best part of the week.
Also, chew on my bombers! I also watched the vlog before this and they clearly stated they plan to eat while podcasting. The description says it. And all the complainers still pressed play? No one to blame but yourselves.
Skipping this episode is very doable. I can confirm they don't talk about anything too exciting. It's the first day. Not much besides conferences.

I was there for it all too, but now I've heard it too much. It just grates on me.
I like Lockdown quite a bit and want to hear it during E3, but i don't mind some Houseboat, Who Dat Cat, Dish of the Day & Synthetic Life thrown into the mix.
This may be the worst case I've ever come across of the sound of eating into mics making the audio impossible to stand. I turned this off almost instantly.
I find all the complaints about the eating amusing, especially because "We're BACK and we're EATING FOOD into the mic." is just... right there. Right under the title. Right next to the play... window... thing. For everyone to see. Right in the open.
Also Lockdown is the best and I love it every single time E3 comes around.
