I feel like commenting will just encourage it, but FFS please don't eat in the mic. I know Ben in particular has a Dan-like streak of doing stuff he knows will make people cranky, but eating on mic is super gross.
Surely Jeff would let you either eat, skip a day, or wait eight minutes to record.
The Lockdown craze is because it was left on loop for a long, long time one year by accident. Lockdown isn't the best song, but it's become such an ingrained part of the site during e3 that it would be a shame to lose it. I know y'all don't get it but please don't stop the e3 Lockdown train.

But for real listening to a podcast where people are eating and stopping mid sentence to chew isn't like ironically funny or funny in any way. It's just bad to listen to. I guess it's a cool "troll" on the listening audience to do something you know is kinda shitty.

Yeah this was pretty rough and reminds me of all those horrible game moments where you're doing something incredibly mundane or annoying and the player or side character tries to make a snide joke about the annoying thing you're currently doing as if it'll excuse the bad gameplay....which never works.
I'll take 15 minutes of Ben jokes and fake Ben laughs over this any day.
It's weird that some people are so aggressively upset by the sound of people eating. Calm tf down y'all they were just doing a goof.
Nah man sorry but no. I love Giant Bomb and I am fully committed to their wacky off the wall humor. This wasn't it. What is the most annoying aspect about it is that they know it will annoy a wide variety of people as it's a super well known fact, as Jeff brings up, that plenty of folks out there despise mouth sounds on podcasts. So to know this, and then still do it.. like why? I like to laugh with the guys not be on the receiving end of a joke. It's the equivalent of farting in a car full of people and having a blast because everyone is so annoyed by it.
