Clue Crew: Nancy Drew: Treasure in the Royal Tower - Part 1

Kinda glad Carmen Sandiego didn't work. I'm all for expanding outside of Nancy Drew but CS is a pretty slight game.

Is it just me or is the audio extremely low on this video?

Yeah, agree on Carmen Sandiego. My vote is still for Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments in terms of a non-Nancy Drew suggestion for this series. It's definitely one of my favorite detective games, and probably the best of the Frogwares Sherlock Holmes games. Some of the cases involve some tricky deduction on the part of the player, and I really liked that there's not just one bygone conclusion to come to (aka you can definitely mess up).

In these trying times, we need a crew to get us all a clue. Or two.

It's not even so much that its slight, it's more that it's entirely gameplay-driven. All the silly personalities exist VERY much on the periphery in the videogame. The live-action gameshow, now THAT was character/personality-driven, but it feels like those two things are getting conflated in people's heads.

I know about the extravagant diamond necklace that always gets attributed to being commissioned by Antoinette but was actually part of a larger scam/fraud but I've never heard of this tiara thing; anyone know if they made it up for this game?

I'd love to see Abby play through 7th Guest or an old-school adventure game in this feature.

I've found the audio on most of Abby's streams to be fairly quiet. Not a huge deal but I've definitely given myself a nasty jump after starting a game and forgetting that I'd cranked the volume up lol.

Honestly, out of all the things I expected from this game, Marie Antoinette Apologism™ was not one of them.

Abby play the Sherlock Holmes games!

@alex speaking as someone who went to college with a bunch of people from Wisconsin, the accent is best described as halfway between the stereotypical Chicago accent and the Dakotas/Minnesota accents in Fargo. Think Chris Farley whenever he played somebody’s dad in a sketch (he’s from Madison).

@alex as someone from both Wisconsin and more specifically someone that grew up in Oshkosh, neither the game nor how you described it is close to people from those areas. Now people from western and northern WI are closer to that (and I do get a good laugh when I hear it), but a good chunk tend to be closer to Chicago, and I've had friends that I made from gaming that are from California that thought I was also from California. Though we do say bubbler when talking about drinking fountains so that would be a dead give away that some is from WI (also something you won't probably hear someone ask for for a very long time nowadays).

That "French" guy sure has Eastern European speech patterns, like dropping "the"s.

Honestly though, i wish they would just play adventure games in general, there are so many good and good-bad bad-good and hilariously bad ones and series that sort of manage to be all of those like the Runaway games(which would make for a great series of streams).
