Are you going to try 13 runs in a rogue-like after rogue? I'm mostly thinking more of the old ascii ones, I would like to see Ben playing Moria, Nethack, or Angband.

Rogue and roguelikes are strategic games. Thinking about what items you have, where you could step that would make you vulnerable, how to avoid being surrounded by enemies, potential dangers at any point even when an enemy is not around...

I can’t tell if Ben is actually serious about getting anywhere in rogue or if he is fine recording 13 4 minute videos of him dying on the first floor.

These first two runs have been hilarious, but I do hope things get changed up so we have some meatier episodes like the practice session.

Clearly your friend doesn't understand YASD (Yet Another Stupid Death) then, which is core to the experience.

There's, in my opinion, a fairly clear format here. There's no way to achieve what you want without adding a level of deception to the proceedings, which would not be an improvement to the viewing experience.

I'll be very disappointed if they start to throw away episodes just to give us longer ones.

Not gonna lie, I kinda like the mini-videos. Not as a thing I'd want in every series, but it's fun for some. I can't always sit and watch 45 min+ videos so these are nice!
