This fuckin' gritty reboot of Trogdor in the thumbnail.

Abby and Ben is such a comfortable combo.

Abby/Ben teamups are always great. I like how their humor plays off of each other.

As for the game, I don't think I'd want to sit down and play it on pc, but I could see it being a fun phone distraction

This thing is a really neat take on the classic Final Fantasy worldmap.

Say "East Pawt" out loud and you're on your way to a good, vague New England accent.

Hadn't heard of the game, but I'm always interested in more cat-related games. And yet I still don't own any of them.

This one has a demo on Steam, so I played through it just now. Seems genuinely fun.

Gonna make Abby's cat cough impression into my new ringtone.

Ben and Abby are purrfect together.

Apparently this is coming to the Switch later in the year. I might check it out, that map would probably look great on the Switch screen.

@ybbaaabby My cat has asthma and she would do that same neck out coughing thing and it just got worse over time until I took her to the vet. That is basically an asthma attack so it means the cat probably can't breathe well and feels terrible. We tried using an inhaler for a few months, and she got used to it by giving her a treat every time, but eventually switched to pills (Medrol) since the inhaler just didn't seem to do enough to help her. Anyway, good luck! I hope you can get your kitty feeling better soon!

This game is cute, probably won't play it. Only commenting to say keep up the Ben/Abby mix. You both did great, but also-- Abby! This was the best quick look you've done. You asked good questions on the game and stayed charming. Keep it up.

When I was in salt lake we picked up a rescue and named him battle cat because he had a cat claw stuck in his scalp when we got him, we moved to Las Vegas and he would always stand on the roof and look at me while I was in the pool. He licked up some motor oil from out garage and got very sick. I spent 800 dollars in 2 days to keep him alive and St the kitty hospital. He wouldn't take his medicine but finally started to get better it seemed. One night we were getting ready to go the club and I went to him his medicine and he coughed very loudly and died. It was so hard for me I've lost pets before but this was particularly hard to deal with. We buried him on thanksgiving the next day.

I miss battle cat.

I take issue with this QL right from the get-go, because Ben says he brought Abby in since she's the "resident cat expert" on staff.

I've never realized how much I've wanted to hear Homestar record a Quick Look until now.

@serc: Isn't that like half the Quick Looks? I just watch the video if I want to know that stuff, as opposed to listen to it.

@afashionablehat: I find that most of the time they give some information about the game. It's rare that they solely rely on you to go to another website to find out what the games about or assume just looking at it will be enough to decide what your upto. In this one they skipped the area that was playable and ran around dieing while talking about there pets and stories about past pets. If it's enough for you then that's fine, I'm not here to judge how you make your purchase decisions but for me it felt like they avoided the game completely until the last minute where Jason chimed in pointing out it is a mobile port... Normally they do some research before playing the game, they also take a save and know what they want to show off to demo the game in a way that aids the viewers in deciding if this is for them or not. For me they failed to research, play or even discuss the game in any detail making the video pointless for me feel free to suck up to people I call it like I see it.

@ybbaaabby Your cat coughing may also actually be dry-heaving, which can be a sign of a more underlying issue (either minor like a hairball or major like an intestinal problem). Hopefully your vet will be able to help. Best of luck!

Eh, the staff used to usually reign it in and not let it get out of hand during quick looks. It is happening a lot more now. Not much to say about games like this, though.

Curious how it controls on iOS, though. Really like the look of this game.

Wouldn't surprise me if the endgame involved some kind of cataclysm.

This game is out on iOS now, and it'll be on PS4 and Switch soon apparently! Looks like the perfect Switch game. (Actually, this would be great on Vita too but... you know...)

Also, +1 on the Abby/Ben duo for these. Y'all are fun.

This is bazonkers. They "avoided the game" by showing the structure (big ol' world with quest givers) and moment-to-moment action (hack-and-slash) and assorted systems (xp, items, spells). You can leave this quick look knowing more or less exactly what playing this game will be like, which seems far more relevant than what other versions of the game exist or the sound designer's favorite type of cheese.

ben's astute mention of trogdor allays any and all concerns i may have had for the younger generation.

Just in case people aren't aware, Homestar Runner content is still fantastic to go back to. (New stuff is few and far between, but is usually quality when it does happen.)

Also, these devs have been playing some Monster Hunter.

If this was an MMEOWRPG the world would be pawsistent.

This game looks cute and also bad. That is to say, the gameplay seems like an afterthought with the devs prioritizing graphics and puns.

Cat's leaving you dead animals is their way of trying to teach you how to hunt because they think you suck at it.

That's what some Netflix doc said anyway.

I'd love to know the story behind the name Dirtbike.

Honestly, if you need more information than what is being shown on screen for this type of game, than you need more help about video games than most people.
