Quick Look: Chariot

This game looks delightful, hope it comes to PS4. I thought it was hilarious that Vinny basically did nothing the entire QL. He left poor Alex to do almost all of the heavy lifting.

Also, according to Skyrim's Nightingales, Vinny's pronunciation of sepulcher is spot on. Trust in Karliah, she wouldn't mispronounce.

The game is definitely charming, and I've enjoyed it quite a bit so far.

Vinny is right and you are right according to the dictionary pronunciation. The game is wrong. Merrium Webster has it as

sep·ul·chre

noun \ˈse-pəl-kər\

The funny thing is that not all of the voice actors in the game say it wrong. The King says it correctly. :p

This game looks gorgeous and awesome and tons of fun. Overall, super cool!

The stress for the Latin is on the second syllable, but at some point between there and now it went to the first in some dialects, so both pronunciations come up. I wouldn't be surprised if they chose that pronunciation because of a quote from some medievalsploitation this game clearly holds very dear to its heart. There's something tugging at my brain that uses the second syllable stress, but I can't find anything on the Youtubes.

Game looks fun, if a bit repetitive and definitely very coop focused. It seems much more of a fruitful twist on physics-based side scrollers than most experiments are.

This game has been free on XBOX One (with XBOX Live Gold) for a while now btw guys. So if you own an XBOX One and are impressed with what you saw in the quick look, you should definitely go and download it.

Damn, they got really pro by the end of it. Looks really great!

How does this game feel when played solo? Frustrating?

Great QL as usual! Loving the BEAST content.

I plan on getting this on Wii U whenever it comes out there, assuming the port is done well. Seems like a perfect fit for the multiplayer-friendly atmosphere there.

Somebody high-five the animators for me because I really dig the detail and care that went this game. They really captured the look and feel of pulling a big heavy thing with a rope, not to mention the flailing legs while hanging and climbing. Super cool.

Playing this with my 8 year old. Tons of great co-op for kids.

Having the main characters being a cute, squat boy and girl bound by a tether working together makes Chariot look like it could be a new Ice Climbers game.

Looks like a cool co op game, you could really hear Vinny and Alex getting into it.

I'm really glad they mentioned the couch co-op thing at the end, there, because I was totally thinking about getting this game once it comes to Steam, but as much as I love local multiplayer, it sucks on PC, so maybe I'll focus on one of the console versions instead. :B
