Too bad they didn't get to the part where it becomes more of a real game, where it becomes a puzzle game. Still, I would recommend it to anyone. Very fun.

I was pretty amused by this, but I would like to say that Triple Triad was an amazing game in its own right, I won't have this mocking of TT!

Seriously though, this looks like a pretty nice callback to the RPGs I loved in a fairly amusing way.

I had this idea a long time ago also. Wish I knew how to program.

I've been following this game for a bit, but of all the commentary I've heard on it in the last two weeks, it's that the actual mechanics and story are bland and boring, just barely existing for any other purpose beyond carrying the gimmick forward.

I got it on the Steam sale. Pretty much what you said is true, but that doesn't mean you can't have a good time with the game. I think it's pretty cool what it does, the experience is still fun even though the gameplay itself is very shallow.
