People don't realize that only 13-17 year old call of duty fans go to Twitch. Nah that's how it was a couple years ago but it's definitely branched out a ton. I still really only use it when the press do streams but I can see the appeal.

Backed the game, but have stayed away from a lot of the content they have put out about it, but this has definitely increased my excitement for it.

I am a backer and literally have seen nothing of this. My way of using kickstarter is to back stuff I would want to play and just wait for it to be done. I think this looks awesome, so glad it's coming along nicely.

The game is a lot of fun to play. Like Brad :D was saying at the end of the video, I had no qualms with restarting the game. It gave me a chance to kinda settle down and make better choices in the strategy level. I really can't wait to play it at PAX and see what has changed. It looks like the Seizures have been rebalanced.

I backed this and avoided all of the preview stuff because I didn't want to hype myself up for it for that long. This is the first I'm seeing of it and I'm digging it.

Oh man. This game has everything I like in it! Turn based combat, family lineage with inheritable traits. Research. I can't wait to play this.

Watching the bi-weekly teamstreams of this game has been fantastic. The game was stick figures and programmer art for a long time, and then it suddenly transformed into this beautiful piece of art out of nowhere. Definitely looking forward to finally playing it.

Also, Brad Muir is the only person I know of where you can just hear the smile in his voice.

This looks fantastic. Only nitpick is that 3 classes seems kind of low. But I'll play the hell out of Rogue Legacy meets XCOM regardless.

Backed this on Kickstarter. Love these kind of games. Didn't realize that it was going to be that in depth. You are basically running a kingdom. Looks good. Hope to play it when it comes out. Also hope my PC will run it.

Depending on how many attacks there are within this random every 10 years, I'm either sold or turned off completely. If it is just a few battles then forced to watch a hero age and die is not worth it. Also, the art style is not really that great. Hope that aspect changes

Really looking forward to play this. Fantasy X-Com with family legacies sounds right up my alley.

My first thought too. It's slightly disturbing with the "oh, that character is asthmatic and near sighted, CLEANSE THEM FROM THE GENE POOL!". As an asthmatic near sighted person, I'm a little offended! Also, no gay people?

It looks super cool, though. Really looking forward to it.

@gkhan: Actually, yes to gay people. That's something that came up early in the project. But they don't talk about how they're dealing with it in this video. But it's been thought about almost from the beginning.

I don't recall if homosexuality is a randomized trait like it is in Rogue Legacy, but same-sex marriage is absolutely a thing in the game. They can even have children! The Massive Chalice will just generate a child and the couple will adopt it, and that child will take on the family traits.

The fade out in the end. Hah

Anyway, this looks funky and I'm always down for more of these turn based games.

@mrgtd: It's not a trait, rather it's the immortal ruler that you play that gets to arrange marriages. So you can put any combo together, not just male-female, and one will be the regent.

So it's sort of The Sims approach - folks are gay when you make it so.

I'm so glad I backed this game. It touches on every little mechanic I love in other games and puts them into one.

Now if only we could add on some crazy Dwarf Fortress mode it would be every game I want into one.

@nophilip: Brad mentions near the end of the video that new hybrid classes can be formed if you mate two characters with different classes together. So, I guess there are at least 6, possibly +3 if Hunter/Caberjack is a different class from Caberjack/Hunter, possibly +3 if Hunter/Hunter leads to another class than Hunter. And potentially more if the hybrid classes mating leads to even more classes.

It seems like the trait variety will make up for the lack of classes, regardless.

The only good QL EX is a QL with Muir.

This is the first time I've seen this and damn this looks awesome. I'm really loving the art style and it's something I hope to see more of (Tentacles: Enter the Mind has a very similar look).

@xxnbxx: The "quicklook EX" has always been designated for games still in development, so "unfinished EX" would be redundant. They use "Unfinished" for all the games that are released in alpha on steam
