I really enjoyed Dan's Angry Birds comparison.

I don't get it. So, did they develop this game in Germany or why is the menu in German? To me it just looks like they were too cheap to get an English localization going.

Boy, I hope this opens up in some way later. I only had time to watch the first few minutes here and it sure looks similar to Tim Roger's Ziggurat; I'd like to believe this will turn out to be more homage that clone.

Is there mouse support? This looks frustrating.

Nice "Schnelles Schauen" there. I didn't knew that Germany is very well known as the land of ice and crisp vector graphics!

Seriously though, this looks unique and seems fun, but it seems like something I would play a premium version of on a flash game site like Kongregate.

If only you had some kind of power-ups...

This game seems reminds me of an old flash game called Bowmaster Prelude

The whole imagery of "Blonde-haired blue-eyed ubermensch fighting inhuman Slavic hordes with the power of Aryan-ism" is a bit...sinister.

This feels like if Royksopp made a game.

Obviously there's a game feel situation here, but depending on the rate at which you can throw the spears, Brad is taking an incredibly long time to kill those wizards who fuck you up. Like, he just leaves them alive as they charge their wizard balls which are basically a death sentence. Is there a delay on the spear throwing?

But in all seriousness, i feel like it is a bit of an overreaction to dismiss the entire german language and culture because hitler was bad.

I feel like you are reading into it and see things that are not there.

Because clearly there are a lot of cyclops so this game does not allude to world war 2, but to the Greece financial crisis. I mean its all right there!

Also the game looks fun, might pick it up someday.

Oh boy does this game look dull. I was bored of it half way through the first level they showed!

Name made me think it was going to be a dutch game, turns out germans have the exact same name for 'lightspear'.

@bicycle_repairman: Well, the little zombie-guys are obviously wearing ushankas, and the flying monsters like a lot like Simargl/Semargl, and the Jotun giants are pretty iconic in Nordic and Slavic folklore (sunglasses not withstanding).

I'll fully admit that the game may just be going for a twist Teutonic mythology, and past criminal governments ruined it for future generations, just as they did with the Buddhist/Jainist svastika.

The developers appear to be Polish, so... social commentary?

I can't believe vr crap jobs are 60 bucks and this game is 10 dollars man the people who made this game are humble this seems pretty good on top of being super cheap! Meanwhile climb rocks in vr is 60 bucks it's upsetting to hear how game companies overprice everything these days

@steveurkel: install base is still small and dev costs are high so they have to adjust to try to make their investment back. but yeah i think more companies should be willing to take a bit of a loss to help the industry grow. (maybe?) hope psvr kind of helps bring costs down and builds vr's popularity/makes it more viable.

Just a heads up: This is not a game from Germany, but from Poland. Which makes sense if you actually speak German and see things like "Das Frostberg." (The pronoun is incorrect.)

If Royksopp made a game, I would hope the music wouldn't be infuriatingly repetitive.

Brad's video game logic is confusing sometimes...

It sorta looks like that CastleStorm game, but with even less to do in it.

Polish-developed aryan power fantasy or not, you got to hand it to the developers for their impeccable sense of humor. Just look at the names of your enemies: "Wurst Zombies" (sausage zombie), "Hipster Giant" etc.
These are the kinds of clever jokes about Germany I am looking for in a game.

use your fuckin cooldowns bro! the clock will stop one day and you won't be able to use them but until then while you are living life blow all your fucking cooldowns as often as you can whenever you can

I just spent 3 days in the hospital and came home to a frozen screen of shenmeu endurance run, about 42 open tabs, music still playing, and it was the most surreal feeling ... if I died, the shenmeu endurance run would continue, no one would care, and thats it

so use your cooldowns ... you dont know when you wont have them

The screen shake is incredibly disorienting.

The art style reminded me of BIT.Trip Runner.

If enemies were vulnerable on certain beats this could have been a really cool rhythm game.

When Dan is the overwhelming voice of reason and logic, it can only be a Brad quick look :D

This game looks pretty cool. Brad and Dan are a great QL team.
