Glad I don't have a PSP because I would have bought this game and then raged at having to restart the entire missions every single time I died. Though I do like everything else so maybe next time add a checkpoint system and everything will be sweeeeeeeet.

I've now tried to watch this twice and both times I've fallen asleep.  I don't know if it is the soothing quality of Brads voice or if I'm just bored by this game.  I really want to watch this because I'm at least sort of curious about it but that's proving difficult.  Maybe I should go slam some Red Bull or something and try watching it again.

Somebody tell me the font that is used in the motion comic thing and intro. Those big fat letters red letters. I love them. Send me a PM with the name of the font.

Hmm, so if I didn't like the recruit stuff from PO, why should I even bother with this game? Kinda didn't like the whole building a team thing. For me Metal Gear games are about one guy infiltrating. 

I basically loved MGS 1 & 2 (also liked the old MG's) but didn't play any other MGS than those two, 
and a little of PO.

Protip: Use auto aim when you're in alert status and need to fight guys.

It's funny, when I first saw that this was about 47minutes long and it was a video about a Metal gear game. My first thought was that we would be seeing 10 minutes of game play and the other 37 minutes would be cut scenes. lol
I felt the same thing when he said he had been playing for a few hours.

When there's a life bar at the top, that means you have to shoot the thing that's killing you.

Every other game's dulled you to the notion that you can shoot at a tank with regular ballistics and damage it, apparently.

It'S CHICO TIME!

It seems to load much faster than my version of the game, why? I installed everything onto a memory stick, but the loading times are almost double that of what´s been shown in the quicklook!
 
Maybe they have the whole game on stick and not on UMD at all?

This game is great and it controls quite well on the PSP as long as the action isn't too frantic.  IMO that is the problem with the PSP SOCOM games, during intense combat, the controls show how much this system needs a second stick.  Alas, PW shines most of the time.  
 
I've only played it in Single Player mode because I have no friends (sad, I know) and some of the Boss Battles can be a real test of patience, but aside from those moments I really love the way this game plays.  Story?  Yeah I suppose it has  one but to be honest I've skipped most of it just to get back to the gameplay.

I'm commander shepard and PSP is my favorite console; put your 360 into storage until ME3 comes out.

I stopped watching this QL the first because, well, I own the game. I figured playing it would be more fun. After 83 hours (twenty of which are probably me being idle while I took a shower or getting blasted to oblivion by a boss), I come back to see it again for good measure.
 
The result is me watching Brad not want to play this so badly that even the most rudimentary mechanics are ignored and the typical GB lack of basic research into a game unless they already want to play it. Oh well, I love the game so it has no effect on me. Retcon hotness, y'all.
 
EDIT: I suddenly thought up better names for some of the MGS titles...

I'm finding that this game holds up pretty damn well in single player.  Certainly infinitely better than Lost Planet 2.

Having played this game more than a sane person should, I can say that the controls aren't that bad once you get used to them. Yes, it can take a while to get used to, but it's not that bad. Brad just needed to use more skill. 

I cant stand a quick look when Brad is playing, he manages to make everything look boring and frustrating with his insistence on repeatedly trying basic strategy over and over until it works, and he faffs about in menus too much. Also he either doesn't like a game and in really down on it and gives no information about it or he gets so into it that he's too concerend with messing up his save game and wont do anything to jeperdise it and it gets boring.

I don't dislike Brad but he needs to watch back his QL's and then the other guys' to see where he's going wrong as you can tell that they're aware they are playing for and audience and he's not.
