Man.. this game doesn't look that good... what have they done with RE :|

I have not even used my code to get the demo yet. Wonder if its worth it. 

Is it normal that I can feel my hard drive kinda rumbling my desk? It doesn't make noise, just it's rumbling.. It's brand new so I dunno what to think about the whole thing.

This game definitely looks like a game that would be called "Resident Evil 6".

It's not worth making a thread over and you guys are savvy bunch. Worth a shot I thought. Do you have this problem too? My previous hard drive didn't do it. Maybe I've got the screws too tight on the mounting rack.

I finally went back and finished Resi 5 on Professional yesterday. I am looking forward to this, even if it's not going to be the horror spectacle of previous games.

I love demos!

I hope to God they spruce up a lot of camera stuff for the full release. There's a myriad of issues I have with RE6 judging by the demo, but the camera is undoubtedly the biggest offender. Plus it depresses me how the regular crappy crosshair is actually a better fit for the gameplay than the classic laser-sight - customisable colour be damned. =/

I really like RE4 and RE5 but im not exactly looking forward to this.

I prefer centre of screen to over the shoulder and the character on the right side of the screen if over the shoulder.

Whenever they come in with a negative outlook, the whole quick look can be unfairly negative. Luckily Jeff checked Brad with the camera stuff at the beginning. Too often with a negative outlook will they start nitpicking things just for the heck of it. Like the battefield quick look for example.

This game looks totally fine to me in terms of gameplay, graphics and such. But it also looks pretty uninteresting and boring.

This franchise really needs to die.

Don't care if people hate it. Outbreak RE is better than Night Of The Living Dead RE.

Come at me.

I had a feeling that was the case.

I loved Resi 4 but hated Resi 5 and this looks like Resi 5 and them some so I wont be getting it, it has stopped being the survival horror that made the series what it was and become just another action shooter.

I find everything about the way this game moves absolutely nauseating. I don't know if it's the camera or the animations or what, but it makes me feel physically uneasy. Anyone else feel this kind of thing when watching this?

Looks like more modern RE. Not a fan of the style. I miss old horror style RE. Oh well.

Because I know Brad reads all these comments, I'd like so that I really liked RE5 too. I got all the Achievements in it (or at least all the on disc ones).

This seemed a hundred times better than what I expected from all of the negative reception.

Plus the boss didn't seem that difficult, Brad just did his thing.

Don't all third person cameras zoom in when you get close to a wall, like Gears of War? Brad is just trying to find something that is bad.

It's as if you've played both games already. Are you a game journalist? If so show us some previews and write up a review while you're at it.

From what I've seen and I'm guessing others as well is that Tomb Raider seems to move and play more precisely and it's not an action fest against hordes of gun-toting zombies. Also, RE was always a successful horror franchise and if nothing else they are moving away from what has made the series great from what we've seen in demo's and trailers.

I remember RE4 and RE5 quite well, and I don't think I could find even a 15 minute segment as dull as the RE6 demos.  (On the other hand I kinda liked RE5 more than the average person, espec in co-op with a buddy, and I really like calm quiet moments used well. Urgh)
 
Capcom are using lots of funny words about this game worth looking up if you need a laugh, they're betting big on it to be the big one that saves their asses, and I do dig a few things they've made but..

What's up with the screen tearing?

I don't know, this doesn't look that great.

Don't expect even Leon's to carry on that sort of tone and pacing for very long. Judging by the trailer's, Leon's story will quickly hit the same sort of wavelength as Chris' and Jake's.

I of course can't say for certain, but despite all of the promotion about each campaign will feature its own distinct gameplay style ect., I imagine they all eventually round up to the fast-paced sort of stuff before too long. Only main difference will be the setting and more than likely what weapons you have access to.

Also, NO ONE CARES what fake name they came up with because they don't want to call them zombies.

Enemies staking on each other, despairing corps, shooting zombies and bad camera, this is basically a n64 game.

To try to  balance out the no-doubt rampant negativity, I'll say a few nice things. Check youtube for a more recent build of the game that was shown off at Comic con - the screen tearing wasn't noticeable at all, while it was rampant in the 360 demo (this may just be a platform thing though, the MT framework engine typically has low FPS on PS3 but screen tearing issues on 360 ....choose your posion). Those that have dug into the demo files have also found that there will be an option to customize the camera position - though the extent of which is unknown. I was also pleasantly surprised to see that you can change the aiming reticule back to the laser sight, and even customize the colour (why not!).  
 
Having looked at the scenarios in the demo files..we're in for quite a ride. My big worry is still that it will be too action-heavy and QTE dependent, but the my overall outlook is positive. 

What the hell was wrong with Leon in his intro? Yes it's the president, but it's a zombie first. Don't talk to it, just shoot it.

Could be the way Brad's playing, but the camera shouldn't show the whole body of the playable character: It takes up screen space and makes the game "feel" shitty.
