FYI There's such a thing known as "phantom limb" syndrome. It occurs in amputees who sometimes report feeling pain in their missing limbs, which at times could be quite intense. It's caused by the sensory neurons in the brain which used to process signals from the missing limb, adapting to take in input from neighboring regions which happen to be the neurons that process the signals from your face. It is sometimes possible to stimulate the feeling in the missing limb by touching the face of the amputee.

As for all that electrical stuff, take it with a truckload of salt.

Wow, Vinny runs SO many background processes while he's playing! I always make sure absolutely nothing is running except the very essentials when I load up a game.

OK, so in the past 4 years, I've had 3 e-mail answered (actually, I think all of them were in the first year, probably because they didn't get as many e-mails back then.) But something goes horribly wrong every time. First he pronounced my last name wrong (which is understandable, it's super french), then he refereed to Michigan (MI) as Missouri, and the third time, I used a fake last name, because my question was profoundly stupid. my name isn't usually so bad. it's usually just, like "Ah-jay" or, more recently "Ah-jeh". one time, somebody called me "ah-gee" which just blows my mind. probably my favorite one, though was somebody calling me "ahg" which, to this day continues to be a nickname thrown around by some friends. it's fun having a name that people can pronounce wrongly because it usually ends up being something totally exotic or like, something embarrassing for both the speaker and myself.

it's always nice when somebody asks me "what does AJ stand for?r" and i'm all "i don't take any of that shit. it's A, and then jay" which is something i'm always proud of saying. i kind of adore my own name, which is why i use my first name as part of my username, i guess.

also, there's something oddly funny about somebody confusing Missouri for Michigan. go that guy.

As a person who grew up watching a lot of Chinese horror movies, hopping demons are, in fact, accurate. I am LOVING it LOL

This is one of the best quick looks in a while just because of all the stuff that didnt work in the game. Even better with the thundercats outtakes.

Anyway, this was a ton of fun! Reminded me of every LAN party I've ever been to: "Hey, have you got the game working yet?", "What? Oh, I was just... Should we just play something else instead?"

I don't think we've had this combo of people before but they worked together surprisingly well. More Vinny/Patrick/Drew quick looks!

This was an okay QL, but I was hoping for Bladerunner....

Okay... United Front is a solid developer. There is no way they would release a game THIS broken... I am doubting that this whole thing is game's faults

This game looks like ass!  That said, it appears to be a quality quick look.

It's weird how Uncle Salty's the only one to say Jiang Shi in Cantonese, while the others mispronounce the word in Mandarin.

This should be a new premium thing, Have Vinny mucking around in Sleeping Dogs.

I have what is called "Trigeminal Neuralgia" - a condition I got after having my V/VII Cranial Nerves severed due to a brain tumour operation. As a result, I occasionally feel very strong electrical shocks on my face that can't be controlled. It's very felt "deep" in the muscles and is what I have read, is considered one of the worst pains mankind can experience.

I played through this on the 360 and had absolutely no scripting bugs. Sucks that the PC port is apparently sub-par. Also cars ARE supposed to randomly explode, but it was hilarious that they thought it wasn't supposed to happen.

This is SO SO great.
