I've seen this on YouTube already. I feel special.

Its only been out on X1 for a month and pc for what seems like a year. Now we get a proper QL once the PS4 version is out! I see how it is :P

From playing the PC version, there are some crafting lists you can barter for at times. But those seem to be pretty rare and are only gained by bartering with inmates. Since you need to follow the jail's routine and train your skills up, the first 10-20 days feel very boring and repetitive.

Did a double take when this went up. So many games getting multiple QL's these days.

Yes, I don't understand. There's a lot of other games out there. Games I have been waiting for a QL, realizing I make a lot of purchases based on GB's QL's.

That's instantly what popped into my mind as well...It actually came out for Xbox in February! I wonder if maybe a code was supplied for PS4 and that prompted this one of the crew bought this for PS4.

So I'm assuming they did this Quick Look and hadn't realized GBeast had already done one, since they never mention it in the video?

Game seems like a cool concept but too much busywork/build up before the actual breaks for me to be interested in it.

I bought this on PC the other day because I had seen some videos of it being played with a controller. The PC version DOES NOT have controller support, and I actually find the mouse controls really cumbersome and not fun to use. You're clicking all over the screen and man, such a bummer.

So is the site just not showing the Youtube versions anymore? They're on the TheRealGiantBomb youtube page, but not available here from the menu

The site is broken in all kind of ways right now. No reason to believe they've gone away from hosting the YT version here for subs, this is probably just a temporary thing.

I don't care who you are or what heinous things you've done. If you can escape a modern prison and maintain your freedom, more power to you.

Not to be a debbie downer but is there anything special about the PS4 version that necessitated another Quick Look? I mean... the PC QL was 52 minutes long and contained 100% more Vinny so there was already an objectively superior existing video.

The friendliness, maybe more accurate term is safety, of a North American prison has much to do with the state you're in, the level of offender/court involved (local jail, prison, penitentiary, etc.). Your fairly new low to medium security kinda jail will be filled with people waiting for trial (no bail), in trial, or sentenced to short terms like five years or less. That kinda place is not scary usually. A run down old medium to maximum penitentiary, on the other hand, is a different thing.

Bear in mind, though, that the popular media perception of prison conditions and experience is wildly inaccurate.

I watch almost all GB videos on an iPad. Not sure if I like the new video player. No full screen, in order to leave fill browser mode you have restart the video when it's finished, when moving around irl it's easy to hit a tab and stop playback. Just not really digging it. Previous version wasn't perfect, but so much better than this. Love the videos, hate the player.

@quillmerchant: I just tried watching this video on an iPad and ran into the exact same frustrations. Typing this comment out is also excruciatingly delayed for some reason. Not sure what happened but def feels like a step backward.

As an upstate new york resident, I really wish Dan was the guy they were hunting right now, they'd just spread mayo in a 50 mile radius around the prison and wait until he does something silly.

My guess would be directly at the jail.

So Dan is not smart enough to be a mailman, instead he goes to internet and lol at cats :)
