Quick Look: Uncharted 3 Beta

Surprise quick look!

Ugh, away from my PS3 for the next few months and dying to play this. Now my internet is refusing to download anything at decent speeds... Guess I'll watch this tomorrow.

Loved UC2 multiplayer, specifically the coop/horde modes. Really hope they expand well on those here.

Can't wait for this game :)

I was hoping for a Ryan + Vinny repeat but this is good too i guess.

Haven't got to play this for a few days but man this sure is a beta. Makes my PS3 fans kick into the highest gear it sounds like. Scares me everytime so I have to turn it off after 1 or 2 games. Hopefully this is fixed by the next time I play if it hasn't been already. 
 
Edit- They kind of went into this beta cold even if Brad already got to Level 5. The video of the 2 doods from Naughty Dog explaining stuff is also on Giantbomb and its pretty informative, stuff about power plays, buddy system, etc. Also many a Brads were pulled in this. I didn't bother counting but Brad used his grenades less than 5 times probably if I were to guess. Grenades are pretty good in this like Uncharted 2 too with just aiming where you want to throw the grenade with iron sights and just pressing L2. Or it will even show the lob arc line thingy if you hold L2 down so still good.  
 
And I've used Spiders aka Creepy Crawler Kickback. They are pretty sweet. Really fast and any doods you're under pretty much die in a second.

Can't believe they jammed in more magical nonsense when it was by far the turd in the punchbowl of the first two games. BAH

Man, the beta is SO MUCH FUN!

oh man i'm so pissed off...I bought infamous 2 used to save £3 on the new version and i even asked the guy if there were any codes i needed to be aware of and he said no... Now i'm not in the beta :(

I even felt bad because i was being a cheap fucker instea of paying the extra £3 and paying the devs for their hard work. Karma i guess :(

I never got into Uncharted 2's multiplayer, but I think my multiplayer games for the year are gonna be this, (Because even in beta state it plays awesome.) and Battlefield (PC)

For those who want to know (and since @Brad didn't know) Power Plays happen when one team is winning by a lot. Marked man starts when winning by 6 and killing the marked man is worth 3 kills. The winning team gets double cash while the other team has the power play. I kind of hate them since it always ends my kill streak by giving an artificial advantage.

Guess they haven't made the replay mode work with the spider killstreak yet... when batzman used it his view went black until he came out of it. Really like the new stuff they added to this game, though a lot of it seemed to fly over these guys heads.

The beta is much better than I expected.

Yeah, this is pretty good, though I am pretty terrible at any run and gun multiplayer. I'll probably stick to single player when it comes out.

Oh, and I like the customization features.

One of the other power plays that isn't in the Quicklook is double damage for the losing team.

Actually, that IS in the quicklook.

Everything about this reminds me of why I hate third person shooters.

So they stream video and use your BW while sitting at that menu? great, a lot of people including myself have bandwidth caps, better be an option to turn this off or i won't even bother with the online.

Looks neat, but all the power-up and loot drop stuff seems like it could get annoying. Trying to flesh out multiplayer and make it more accessible and meaningful to lower skilled players is an admirable goal, but the competitive games I like, I like for the purity. Things in here have the potential to interfere with that.

The beta has been freaking awesome, I've enjoyed every aspect of the game

@mosespippy: Good to know. If I get into UC3 multiplayer, I will almost definitely spend the most time in there.

Uncharted is not in any way on a line between reality and mysticism, it's just Indiana Jones on the ps3, in the present without a hat and whip.

What's up with Vinny and Brad being confused by little things, this isn't rocket science, also watching the video from Naughty Dog explaining a lot of stuff is not hard and with the craziness of not stopping the video and redoing it, what's cool about showing that the audio isn't working correctly?

Funny how Brad is acting like that plane level is something that hasn't been done before and is mindblowing. Unreal Tournament has a ton of maps like that.

UC3 looks awesome, makes me wanna get a PS3.

@MoleyUK: Some countries don't get access to this even though they got PSN+ from the welcome back package. New Zealand and Germany for example.

@brad Powerplays are basically just powerups for the losing team to try to even out the score.
 
Marked Man is worth 2 points instead of the normal 1 point.
Double Damage is Double damage
Exposed basically reveals the arrow nametag of enemy players
