Jan Two Boss

Jan, I feel like Sekiro might be your next From game to play. Dark Souls 3 plays more like Bloodbourne and would be easier to get into, but beating bosses in Sekiro is far more rewarding, especially since there are no summoning options. Plus menus actually pause the game since there's no online component.

The last archived episode was 20 and this is 22. Is there a 21 I'm missing or is this mislabeled?

Good job on making it to Orphan of Kos. He and the main last boss of Sekiro are some of the hardest bosses in any game I've played

We are so close!
I honestly think you'll find the last main game bosses laughable after going through the DLC.

If you're not aching to get this over with so you can move on, there's always the Chalice dungeons, they get a bit repetitive but have plenty of unique bosses.

Anyway haven't had time to watch this yet so time to get that remedied!

Jan took down Maria so fast this time around that I literally looked away for a few minutes to attend to my cat and I completely missed him beating her. I sit back down and see he is in some other area but I just assumed he decided to take a break and explore a different part of the DLC. Took me over an hour to realize that he actually beat her and is now pushing further in haha.

Jan crushed some bosses in the regular game that I struggled with and only beat by summoning, but somehow I beat Maria first try on NG+.

BB boss difficulty really varies from person to person.

I am also half-Filipino, and my mom didn't teach me or my siblings much Tagalog (I don't speak ANY of it at this point). I kinda figured that was a common thing, perhaps?

Orphan of Kos was by far the hardest boss in this game for me, and Jan you are doing AWESOME MAN!!!

I’ve never related more to a person than when Jan was talking about vaginas, then realized he was starting to paint himself into a awkward corner, then got out of it just as awkwardly. Jan is my spirit animal.

@butterstick1: please don’t spread this elitist “no summoning” propaganda. Arbitrary gating on what is the “proper” way to play the games is the worst part of the Souls community.

C'mon, giving Jan props for soloing hard bosses is not toxic

Gratz on the progress so far jan. I would say Dark souls 3 continues on more like bloodborne but with more magic and shields. Sekiro focusses in on parrying and has amazing boss fights throughout. Either would be a fun watch!

@humanity: I totally agree. Summoning is half the fun. Seeing what equipment people have, meeting new players, it's all so rad. Don't EVER try and ostracize or belittle people 'because they summon help'. Fuck that attitude.

I've never fought Laurence, but he seems very Amelia-like. Based on that, I'd say this is probably a real get-in-that-ass fight. And Jan, thanks for continuing this series!

@butterstick1: well then I apologize for overreacting. I’ve seen so many people over the years use phrases like “a true hunter” to separate the “real” players from the ones that summon or don’t play by some ridiculously arbitrary rule sets made up by the hardcore community that I get a little jumpy when I see them used around people just getting into these games.
