Multikills definitely get the focus, but I know it's very possible to top those. I've saved teams by using Zenyatta's Transcendence during a Rocket Barrage. I did have a Transcendence using to keep a team upright during the tail end of a Mei Blizzard, a full Pharah Rocket Barrage, AND a Hanzo Dragon Arrow, but was beaten out by something else (we did lose, so understandable?), however.

And even you lose the PotG to a typical multikill, there's a fair chance it saves it as a highlight you can watch back on the menu screen. I've been saving SO MANY highlights as a result.

I really wish there was a button or something to just save those. I don't do a lot of play of the game worthy things but man sometimes I want those.

@nigeth: I think the problem with the whole 'Xbone.5' situation is if Sony does decide to roll out their upgraded unit this year the Xbone will look even 'weaker' in comparison so It would force MS' hand to do something to attempt to get some sort of 'power parity' with Sony and not be known again as the weaker platform. But I guess we'll find out in the coming months.

@efesell: I don't play on PC, so I imagine there's a little more legwork. I've been abusing the share feature on the PS4 for Overwatch highlights. It's been great.

@jedikv: which makes me even more skeptical, actually, that there is much basis to the claim of a 6 TFLOPs console. It seems like a PR solution to me, because people will now tend to compare the Neo to next year's Microsoft console and not to the current Xbox One.

I'm sure I could always flip on shadowplay or use the Windows 10 record but the convenience of a button on that highlight playback would just be real nice.

No problems, I'm nearly 40, those kind of games I finished up with a long time ago now, I'd much much rather hear Vinny talk about Witcher 3 or something.

If they are making NEW, non backwards compatible consoles, to be released in the next 18 months, they are screwing up BIG time. If they are making iterative consoles, well I still agree with you, they are also screwing up, but not as much.

Man, seems like factionalism in game communities has come up consistently in GB's podcasts as of late. It's all pretty depressing to me, but I don't know what part of it I find more so - that arguments I've heard long ago still being made by new people all the time, or people I've known for a long time who are still getting into the same fights.

I rarely get this salty on the internet but maaaan I cannot stand G Gundam. My hatred is only stoked by the fact that some of the mechs from Wing (my personal favorite Gundam) are based on or at least similar to designs of G's main characters.

Not saying Battleborn is a good game because it is a jumbled mess. But Brad spent a lot of time achievement hunting during that mission in Battleborn. Not saying that the game design is good, but Brad seemed almost completely uninterested and deflated early in that quick look. Maybe that is just Brad's way of saying that the game just didn't grab him. But man for someone who knows how to play DOTA and understands basic tower based multiplayer it was frustrating watching that quick look.

I'm not going to be popular for saying it, but I'm up to the Xbox 1.5 section and the quotes for the "4x more powerful" stuff is sourced from a certain person at Polygon. That person is totally notorious when it comes to Microsoft stuff, just without question over the years. It might still be totally true and MS really does go for 4x more power, to ensure the Oculus works and AMD give them a chip capable of it. Entirely 100% possible, but that source? ....... Unless someone else independently sources it I just... yeah, nope... no.

I'm only 24 and I'm sure that this is going to make me sound really old....but I do not understand the "that's really chill" thing....I understand basically what it means...but I have no idea how it ended up in our American lexicon. I think it's a little silly to say....maybe I'm just slowly morphing into an old man O.o but Austin is older than me and he said it! :D

@henchman_72: that was one of the worst quick looks I've seen on this site. I don't even like Battleborn that much but that was a bad quick look. The constant dog piling on that game from the video game media in general is kind of gross because it's not even a bad game.

Oh God, I kind of want to send in a correction about Austin saying Nero was the worst Emperor. Nero isn't even in the bottom five. Worst Emperor is basically a match between Caracalla and Commodus.

Once you parse the fact that Tacitus is a one man anti-Julio-Claudian propaganda machine (the dude basically compliments fucking Augustus through clenched teeth), Nero is more of a mediocre Emperor than a truly awful one. Definitely closer to the bottom of the list than the top, but still.

Don't get any kind of history degree this is what you will become.

Sony needs to make a QUIET machine, it's no fun when you're playing a dramatic scene in Uncharted 4 and then you hear your PS4's fan going full speed because it's poorly/cheaply made.

I'll weigh in one more time about why Neo and Scorpion are things and I'll try to be really brief. Also it should be known that both consoles use AMD chips so that is why I'm not mentioning Nvdia.

The original consoles launched under powered due to the graphics industry being stuck on the 28nm. Consoles got what they could for the price point they were targeting. Now AMD is preparing to roll out new chips on a 14nm process. These haven't been openly tested yet but based on various leaks they are faster, use less power, and on performance per dollar ratio are much cheaper. I wouldn't be surprised if AMD went to both Sony and Microsoft and said something along the lines of "we'll sell you these faster and cooler (less power equals less heat) chips for the same price you are paying for the originals if you buy X million of them". Sony and Microsoft already being berated because some games perform better on PC or on their competitors console of course agree and here we are.

My favourite van name is "Van Damn" from Sense8.

The obvious choice for "Harvey Pekar" - great name by the way, from one Clevelander to another - is to name their van "Smoke on the Street."

It practically writes itself.

On top of that they're looking to get into the VR and a more powerful console would help with that.

On a side note I wouldn't be surprised if Neo and Scorpion games only look slightly better than their base counterparts. I have a feeling there are going to be a lot people who will buy the one or both of these new consoles and be disappointed that the graphical fidelity between the new and old systems ain't that great.

This needed a bit more technical research before it...the basic meaning of FLOPS would've made a the speculation a bit more precise maybe...

I think the target is set that high, is because UWP represents a bit of overhead that needs to be accounted for and developers and their engines will need time to exploit UWP to the max...in addition to this, because UWP or rumors about UWP started before the NEO leaks (correct me if I'm wrong please), I'm of the opinion that Microsoft started this 'decoupling' and upgrade move before Sony, it's just that they announced it a bit later

People have been saying that since the launch, but a huge swath of fans come and shout them down like Veruca Salt "MY PS4 IS QUIET, YOURS MUST BE BROKEN!" or "how dare you" kind of bullshit.
(I've had access to 3 launch consoles, in games which push it, yep - leafblower)

funny hearing you guys talk about competitive anxiety (thought i was just crazy) used to get it allot with dota2, but with enough 1000s of hours (lol) it just kinda went away (probably from repetition) still happens every now and then for a very close game, heart starts racing but i think thats more adrenaline or whatever.
