I tried to like hyperscape but some of the guns feels like shooting wet noodles and it really pushes me away. Some of the abilities seem broken compared to others being worthless. I know it’s early maybe it will find it’s way. My chief beef is that there’s not a lot of incentive to killing players. You’re rewarded for hiding in a building or scouting loot instead of fighting.

For as janky and fucked up as it is, and as much as every decision they've made with that game for the last two+ years has the wrong one, PUBG is still the only battle royale game that's felt to me like it's been done right. A TTK that feels fair and encourages interesting battles, stupid physics garbage to entertain yourself and your teammates with while there's downtime, compelling gunplay from multiple ranges, etc.

I don't know, I'm truly not burned out on the idea of battle royale games because I think it's a valid mode for shooters in the same way that deathmatch or a Battlefield-style thing is, I just wish I had fun with any of them other than the most broken one there is. It's still the only one that has felt like there are legit stakes in each match. Shrug.

My only disappointment is the lack of the old "CBS Special Presentation" intro graphic.

For a second I was excited for Jeff to dive into Death Stranding PC and go wild with Cheat Engine. I finished and adored Death Stranding on the PS4 but now I can't wait to run back through it at 60fps with unlimited carry capacity/speed and completely break it with Cheat Engine. Sounds like an absolute blast and I already enjoyed it so thoroughly as it was intended.

Trackmania+parkour= carkour.

Hyper Scape seems like a bad game.

Track-of-the-Day has been a welcome addition to the game, obviously a lot of these maps would show up in multiplayer servers anyway, but I like the monthly list of curated tracks/leader-boards. It's also handy for discovering track-makers you might not know of otherwise. The pod-racing one was crazy, and this one has SPAAAAAACE.

Though, I do miss LP, and watching my global/regional ranks tick up every-time I place well.

I also tried improving with the keyboard, but wasn't really getting better times, realized I might need to retrain myself to actually be effective with it. I just enjoy the controller more for racing games, though I know in most club rooms, a majority of the top10 (I'm usually in it, or sit just outside) are using keyboard.

People who cheat in high score games should be put on a gvt watch list. Only bad people do that.
