Besides the...racism (?), there doesn’t seem to be much of a downside to being a mermaid.

Is it normal for mermaid to sleep, in a bed, with pajama on, outdoor, during pouring rain?

If one was going to only buy two Sims 4 expansions, what would you Simheads recommend?

Do you have mermaid parties beneath the sea? And am I invited? At these mermaid parties do you smoke sea weed? If so, then how do you light it?

Abby and 13 Deadly Sims are the reason I play Sims 4 pretty regularly now and this Island Living expansion is a lot of fun. It's a good time for some Giant Bomb feature ideas with the combination of this pack and the "magic" expansion coming this fall, I believe. Good times! :)

Seasons for sure. It was a gamechanger quite literally with the introduction of a calendar and weather. Get To Work is good for finally being able to go actually do a selection of jobs with your sim. Vampires is great if you're into them, since it introduces a whole new progression system for your vampiric self. And Cats and Dogs is very, very robust if you're a pet person. Tons of stuff.

Get Famous was pretty disappointing, IMO. Not much added of worth for me. City Living is nice for the area it unlocks but apartment living doesn't do it for me as much. Get Together is just about clubs and not much else.

I rewatched Seaquest about a year ago. Season 1 is good, Season 3 is great. Season 2 oh boy that was a struggle to get through.

When she turned into a mermaid in the bathtub, I immediately thought of Splash. I wonder if Abby has watched that movie.

Nice to see the DLC keeps up with the tradition of having abysmal AI pathfinding. Maybe in the Sims 5 they will figure out how to advance basic command reliability when they add everyone's favorite Games As a Service™ functions.
