That was a pretty quick fade...

Why do we fall sir?

Each individual hit of Sheena's C weapon is weak, but it's strong because it typically hits numerous times. The problem with the final form of the Deadeye Joe battle at the end of the jungle level is that it moves from left to right too erratically when you're shooting it for you to reliably hit it with any weapon without the occasional miss if you're shooting it from above. As such, Sheena's C weapon doesn't land nearly as many hits in that situation. If you want to use Sheena's laser on that form, then you'll want to stand directly to the left or the right of your target. That shouldn't be a problem as long as you're at the very edge of the screen, in either case.

Now, regarding the final approach to the "fun patrol" and Bahamut, you guys do need to take it slow. Here's the thing: Some of the enemies respawn endlessly, but there's no reason why you shouldn't be taking out the ones who don't. The ones who don't respawn are the ones who aren't running or jumping around; they're just standing still and aiming their guns around. You'll still need to take out other enemies who get close, but you should only scroll the screen further once you've taken out the stationary enemies. It'll just make progressing easier.

I love how they state that that weird powerup spewing mash-up is not next every time it is next, for at least the past four episodes

Sometimes you need to go backwards to move forwards.

Should get another 6 button controller, might help you out, and they are cheap.

Pretty sure I haven't seen Dan so frustrated before. So here's a reminder to you guys: you guys have only been going further and further each run, keep pushing.

Hard corps have also been the most entertaining run yet, so there's that.

For the Just In Time monkeys part, Dan probably shouldn't use a homing gun.

They're gonna need a longer t-shirt for this one...

Man, I know there's no chance, but I really hope they do the other three ending paths.

Maybe he's getting it mixed up with the one right before you fight Bahamut. If you "agree" you get an ending.

@biomajor09: GH has infinite continues and is kinda easy. Would still be fun because GH is awesome, though.

Ah, I see Dan has adopted the Brad Shoemaker Lantern Run method of special weapon selection and now believes the yoyo that he doesn't seem to be using effectively ever, based on what I keep reading is optimal usage of it, is the best weapon he can have in just about any situation and against every boss.

Except for how they absolutely didn't go further in this run at all, but sure.

@danryckert If the top row of XYZ buttons wasn't working, it may be because the Mode button was held in while the game was starting. It turns the controller into a regular 3-button job. I'm pretty sure it's no good trying to press it after the game has started.

I wonder if it's a configuration issue. If they're playing on an emulator, then they should ensure that the controller is configured as a three-button controller. If they're actually playing on a real Genesis, then the proper way to switch to three-button mode on the six-button controller is to hold the Mode button while turning on the system and releasing it afterwards.

@andrewevans: I caught this live, but I'm here to watch 33:45 - 34:20 over and over again. I've seen it seven times now and it just keeps getting better.

When they have one life left on that second to last? boss, they should just agree to see what happens. What's to lose?

@roy42: Thought you just where condescending ass but apparently missed a episode. Still don't think you should be so harsh on Dan and Vinny I mean their track record so far have been pretty good, or you know whatever you do you.
