I like the concept of this game but I don't think it works in execution. They need to remove the goalie or disable punching because right now it's impossible to stop and aim without someone stealing the thing. The round timer is way too short too.

Agreed -- the goalie is just way too strong. If they make scoring more possible, the one minute timer might be all right.

It seems really easy to trick the goalie though. I think it's just inexperience that kept them from scoring; look at how Austin went off at the end.

I just read on steam that there is an option to turn off the goalies completely. They should revisit this with the goalies off!

@leejunfan83: yeah the idea is funny enough, but I can't get over how bad this game looks. I understand all the references of the various art elements, but none of it comes together well. The UI looks atrocious, the sound is non existent (at least from this video) and even the little things like the half time news paper (again, love the ridiculousness of that) type is just so uninspired.

It's 2015, I figured everyone figured out art and especially retro pixel art, especially if you're a small indie game doing it for the love.

feels like the size of the characters relative to the goal leads to not enough space to play with, with or without the goalie to me. But maybe I just prefer a bit more flow and slightly less chaos than they were intending here.

The 1 minute quarters with a break/loading screen in between every one was pretty annoying and odd game design. It was extra ridiculous it even keeps doing it in overtime. Xavier Wood's getting hyped made up for it though.

I don't follow wrestling but I'm a fan of this guy after his appearances on various sites. Such a nice guy and genuinely into video games.

So he's the quiet laid-back one in a trio of jacked up maniacs that make people very uncomfortable? Got it. Seems like an awesome dude to me. I now really want to see Xavier and his buddies show up at Pax Prime and teach @danryckert the POWER OF POSITIVITY.

As for the game itself; At first I thought they should've named it "Clusterpuck", but then I remembered that game already exist.

two things: Its really crazy that the fed are letting him do stuff like this, and its also crazy that they are letting him talk like an adult.

Xavier remains awesome. I'd love it if he sat in on a Bombcast or UPF sometime.

Played this at PAX South, game is tuned for 3v3 which is why the goalie is so brutal. The quarter length can be configured in the options.

I feel their wanting to dunk every time is their undoing.
