Only difference in DX (if I recall) is an extra mission after the game where you play as another character. It's short and not especially amazing but does shed a little interesting light on some things.

Get it if you can but no loss if you can't.
And enjoy ... still one of the best game stories.

Vanilla being how people describe a game in its standard, original form.

Personally, I feel like the added mission, which is really short mind you, in Restless Dreams (or the Directors Cut) overall detracts from SH2, as it seeks to explain most everything about the main story, destroying all the mystery the original plot had. Just get the original version on the PS2.

Having played both (SH2 on PS2, SH2:DC on PC), I'd have to go with the Director's Cut. You only get Maria's (short) side mission and an extra ending, though.

@SoldierG654342: The PC version is the Director's Cut, I think.
