    Star Trek Alien Domain: Incursion

    Short summary describing this game.

Star Trek Alien Domain: Incursion Strategy Guide

I'm not the most experienced person in the Game but I have built up quite a bit of experience for growing your fleets & becoming a formidable opponent giving yourself a little leeway to grow in some peace.

First, I want to point out that this is a much more easy strategy game than most. There are limitations as to where you can be attacked or looted. It's not like most where you can lose your shirt & pants in an overnight raid while your dreaming of kittens & puppies only to awaken to a nightmare that you lost everything. That doesn't happen in this game. Which I find refreshing.

First step is to unlock your main flagship. You will find that you can grow to a total of 4. Each has its unlock requirements which you can see under the "Unlock Flagship Tab located directly under your main console list of resources on the top left of your screen. You can work to accomplish the tasks listed while normal play. Getting your first three ships is pretty easy. (Prometheus, Galaxy, & Goliath). You will find acquiring Petra to be a bit of a challenge. Do not count on gaining that ship until you are in your mid, to end 60's in your level. Level 70 is currently your max, but you will find some level 70 layers may out power many other level 70 players. There is a reason for that & I will cover that in this guide.

I also want to point out that this IS only a game. Players who whine, & moan are annoying. Don't be one of them. I like to joke a lot in game & I also work hard to make friends. I have found many players in MY server are very friendly. Players from all factions have offered tips, & strategies to get ahead. The main goal in the game is to reach 70, try to max out all features & go to war. I am sure as more players move up the developers will add more features, unlocks, & level caps to keep the game interesting & strategic. After all, if everyone had the same level, same max, etc we would have stalemate. The developers have somewhat solved this by allowing players to continue to increase their power levels in fleets with stars, equipment boosts (levels, & add ons). Your goal is to collect as many items, credits, & resources to boost these items. There is a tool tip icon called "Powerup" under your map on the top right of your screen. It looks like a fist. This gives you examples of where you can increase power to your fleets & each one is starred to show importance.

Your first goal in the game is to gather resources. The game has a really nice tool you can use when you first log in the morning (or night) depending on when you sleep. It resets every day at a specific time. Im a morning & day player & my time zone the tool resets in the middle of the night around 3 or 4 am. Now, I would suggest getting through the tool tip during the day, or night before it resets. It will walk you through daily tasks which are important to gather resources, play side games, etc. These tools generally do not require spending any credits (in game money) which can be purchased, earned, or won. Earning & winning for free is actually very easy. Some players can go through the game not spending a dime. Purchasing in bulk can be rather expensive but they do have cheaper ways to keep yourself stocked such as the weekly, & monthly boosts. Priced low, & good payout in credits, & items needed to move forward in the game are given daily during these subscriptions. I'm not here to twist your arm to spend money though. I hate games that require purchasing to move ahead. This one is one of them, however I have never seen a game developer give so many opportunities to gain, win, or earn in game money for free as this one. Some people can collect 500-1000 game credits a day for free if they are lucky. The tool tip I mentioned above helps you earn some of these credits for FREE. In game challenges such as the Chest exploration hides credits in 1, 5, 10 boxes if you’re lucky to uncover them. I earned 300 creds in one night from this. Follow the tips, learn, or work out a daily routine & you can grow rather fast. In 2 months, I went from Level 1 to level 63. You can level up quickly but remember to always work on growing your fleets while doing this. Sometimes you have to slow down on earning XP to grow in order to catch your fleets up.

I also want to point out that NOT EVERYONE PURCHASES CREDITS. Accusing powerful players being a wallet player, or a money player, etc. can be unfair. Every time someone purchases credits the game brags about it in chat and lets you know. Most likely a marketing tool "hey, this guy made a purchase, so should you". I have a couple powerful players on my server being accused of this. They buy the weekly, monthly subscription as do I. But they earn the rest of their creds in game though task completion, & competitions. Yes, they are powerful, yes they are bullies, but they earned their status & power. Some powerful players are a bit nicer & honor a first come first serve concept. Those are good players to make friends with because they can sometimes retaliate for you if you ask nicely. You can choose who you ally with. If you join the squadron of the bullies, they usually leave you alone, if you join other squadrons your usually fair game to the bullies. Everyone has their game style & it can be annoying. BUT the more you complain the higher up their list for attacks you go. It is best to attempt making friends with them. Some people (rarely) are a pain in the rear. But some of them are approachable & reasonable. All and all it is a game so expect and anticipate getting attacked while your growing. Just keep chugging along & grow, grow, grow. This game has given the best opportunity to collect & grow without a lot of pain & strain.

    Research

This is incredibly important to grow your power. Grow the development of your headquarters grinding our resources, storage space, defense powers, unlocking trade for Latium which you can use to buy tools to power up your fleet. Also powering up your ships, adding additional loot boosts to gather more rss with each attack, increasing the number of ships each fleet can carry. Unlocking additional debris slots to send ships to explore and gather rss & power up items. Try to max research at each level so you won’t have much catching up to do as your xp levels grow. You don’t want to fall behind researching as your growing.

    Buildings

In your headquarters you want to level up your buildings at each level. Not much needs to be said about this as it is like all other MMO games. Your building produce more & store more at each level. Defense, star port etc increase defenses, power, & increases ship limits for building to a cap. Again, keeping these up to date with each level is important so you don’t fall behind. Every building is important & you don't want to leave one for later only to find you have a ton of catching up to do. Also, don't forget to upgrade your Energy Station!

As you grow the building times increase A LOT. You can earn building speedups usually & easily 15min. But on occasion 1HR, & more. If you're building something 12-18 hours try building ones with shorter time while your playing & then build the longer times over night while your sleeping.

    Ships

Unlocking ships is crucial, each ship in your fleet serves a purpose & can make a difference in battle. Some ships are stronger when paired with certain flagships. Always play around with placement of your ships from time to time to see if you’re getting the max power out of each fleet. I haven't yet figured out a true key of knowledge on this as it can be a mystery. I've tried pairing ships that look similar. Sometimes seeing a boost, sometimes not. The Flagship as you grow it & with crew compliments which you can add to the flagship with abilities unlocked can transfer power, shields, weapon strengths, etc to all flagships increasing their levels & strengths. But it is all in matching the right ships to your flagship to get the most benefit. So, try exploring this to see how much extra power you can get.

There are also abilities, growth features etc. in every ship. Star power is also key. This boosts each element of the ship from Armor, HP, Hits, Tenacity, Experience, Etc. The more star power you get the more powerful your ship is. Star power is the fastest way to grow your ships power. It may look slow at first but as you gain more stars the power grows faster with every star power you add on.

    Ships: Grade up

I absolutely despise this part. It is the bane of my existence!

Grade up requires elements which you acquire in Normal Dungeon which is accessible by a small icon located at the top left of the map which is located on the top right of your screen. It is a circle with a galaxy in the middle of it. Your first attack on each level of it is free You can gain stars which unlock prizes as you reach certain levels. After your first attack there is a cost for each attack from your supply of vitality which can only be obtained by your vitality generator in your headquarters. You can do single attack, or sweep 1, or unlock sweep 5 by purchasing credits & earning VIP levels. Yes, there are some features which increase ease in game & speed up collections only by spending money to unlock the features. VIP 5 pretty much unlocks most of the important features like this. That requires a bit of money to get to.

Collecting Vitality can be a long drawn out process but collecting quite a bit (15000, to 20000) can give you a bit of gameplay in the normal dungeon. Vitality, especially with sweeps go fast & it can be frustrating as the elements you need to collect are rare & many times do not come up at the capacity you would like. lower levels come up faster, & easier. As you grow you will find elements to be rarer, & rarer. You also earn XP, & XP packs for crew members. You can also collect tech speedups for speeding up research. Those two are rare but can accumulate quite a bit with more dungeon plays you do each day.

I have started saving my vitality up a bit. At my level I can save 100K-200K without running out of storage. It is a little more satisfying the longer you can play this mini game & have a chance to earn more elements, speedups, etc.

    Flagships

Powering up levels don't add a whole lot with each level up. You generally don’t see your power increase with each time you level up your flagship. Where you see the most power gain is adding Crew, leveling them up. Activating abilities. Notice a path though before you just mark down using ability creds. You earn one cred with each level you gain. Creds can be very limited. As you add abilities down the grid each level costs more abilities. You reach the middle of each block & you see one ability which shares your fleet abilities with your fleet. Things like extend shields, add armor, HP's (Hit Points), Hit, Attack, etc. Essentially you power up your entire fleet. Also look for boosts for loot CD decreasing your wait between looting, boosts for looting certain rss which can boost the amount you collect with each attack. You can gain rss, Feat points, & points to increase your FEATS skills so you can collect more feats each week. FEATS are used to purchase supplies, ships, etc in the shopping cart.

Also adding components which you can earn from chests, mini games, & sector clash located right below normal dungeon. You earn blueprints & when you collect enough of each level to build a part you can then build it, appraise it which reveals its power. Then if it out powers your other component you may have in the slot you can use it to increase aspects of your ship. Each slot is also upgradable in levels which you unlock with slot enhancers. You can earn these in mini games, chests, etc. The most common & easiest source is the shopping cart. You can purchase them with Latium you earn in the game. Join a squadron & occasionally they are also available in the squadron shop in lower levels you can purchase with your earned squadron credits. Once you collect enough upgrade the slot, then you can upgrade the levels in patches of 10. The slot will only allow you to upgrade it to the matching level of your flagship.

Flagship Debris, & reform crystals are important. You can collect each in various ways. Flagship debris is available in SMALL amounts in debris fields. You can also collect them in a little bigger qty by unlocking mists & planetoid. A mist is a portion of the sector which holds a certain qty of planets. Collect unlock keys daily for free from Headquarters support which is part of the daily tasks & accumulate a qty of them to give you the chance to unlock all planetoids. Sometimes waiting days to unlock can be worth it so you’re not tempted to spend your credits to buy more. Spending credits is easy, collecting them is not as easy. Try to save your credits for things that really matter. Other things can be obtained in the game for free over time or buy using other rss to make the purchases. (Feats, Latium, Virtual Battle points) are all forms of currency earned for free in the game.

Over time as you make purchases with Latinum you may find most items you purchase are no longer needed as you maxed out certain features. Flagship Reform Material will be needed for quite some time. That is all I buy at this point with Latinum to continually reform my flagships to the point I outgrow the need for the flagship crystals. At some point you upgrade to needing larger reform materials only available as far as I know at this point in the Debris Field.

Adding stars to your Flagship is also needed to increase power. You collect those through the Debris field, & as mentioned above by unlocking planetoids. You can also obtain them in mini games such as Monopoly, & chests. Flagship debris becomes a very limited item to obtain. They don’t come fast & most importantly you need 75 Goliath Debris when you get to a point to unlock the last flagship Goliath. This is where you find the crunch. But don’t fret. Use this time to collect items you need to upgrade it once you get it. Collect all the slot enhancers you need to upgrade the ship to max. Easily obtain these through the FEATS shopping cart as you earn FEATS. Collect Debris when you can for stars. Unlock more fleet ships & upgrade those gradually so that you will have a fleet ready once it is unlocked. Doing this will prepare you to be formidable in battles with this 4th fleet.

Ship enhancements via flagship & recap

These are just as important to strength as your Flagship. Your flagship can enhance your fleets strength as you add ships. You will notice power increase, & features such as Armor, Shields, HP, Hit, etc are enhanced if you have those features unlocked in abilities of crew on the flagship. Certain ships gain more benefit than others so experiment in placement to see which ships benefit the most with each flagship.

Upgrades on the ships consist of elements earned in the normal dungeon. Crystal, & occasionally Dilithium. Steel is also used in building, & sometimes upgrading certain components. Ship debris which can be earned in the Ship cart using interstellar debris earned in daily tasks, mini games, & can be purchased with credits (hint: price even though apparently discounted is still too steep for me). I just earn them when I can. You can spin for debris individually or sweep 10 if you reach VIP5. I am at VIP 5 so I save up 10 each time before I spin. You can also earn credits, & FEATS in the spin if your lucky. You use these to increase the stars on each of your ships. This gains each ship more power.

Another form of powerful attacks is done in the skill up tab of each ship. You must loot or colonize skill point planets to earn skill points to spend in each ship. Most ships go to level 50 cap on skills. Some more powerful ships cost much more skill points but cap at level 10 such as the brand new Intrepid.

Another form of tweaking your ship is the organize tab. You can gain organizing tools to spend on this in mini games, challenges, chests, prizes, etc. Use these to tweak and add points to each feature, Shields, attack, HP, etc. Be careful because sometimes you use it you may get decreases in points. Some may be small decreases, while others can be low or very high increases. Weigh your options because the low decreases are usually easy to regain while taking advantage of the extreme increases at the same time. Sometimes the losses may be too great. The game is usually good at advising you if something is good or bad when you move to accept or chancel the change. These are small increments each time you use them but over time can give you an advantage. These are like mini star upgrades. (mini, mini, mini) but over time & accumulation will be an advantage.

    Other game plays

    Colonizing planets

You can colonize a limited number of planets to mine & collect rss. These can be annoying for smaller players as larger players will attack to loot, or to steal the planets, yet leave them empty. It seems like they are picking on you. Most are not unless you complain about it then their evil overcomes them…

Be prepared to recolonize daily, or multiple times a day. One way to sway looting is to constantly collect if you can. If you reach your storage limit you cannot collect. If you find someone stealing your planets one by one, collect them abandon them to prevent the player from earning feats. Why let them earn off your grief. You can add defense with clones of your fleet but at lower levels it is like plastering up a paper wall for them to blast through with ease & is a waste of your cloning devices. Your clone is a snapshot of you fleet at its current level & formation & does not grow as you grow. You can update them using another clone device but in all honesty, they are worthless at lower levels. Save you cloning devices for when you’ve grown stronger. I am currently at 368K power. That is somewhat formidable. But I still do not use clones. Instead Resort to looting yourself. I do and it is extremely lucrative!

    Looting Planets

Probably in some ways more lucrative than colonizing. Especially when you’re not strong enough to defend your planetoids. I went for weeks without a single colony. I have 7 colonies now at my strength with no clones on them & occasionally I am looted in the middle of the night while sleeping & my colonies are maxed because I didn’t collect while snoring. But when I come on in the morning, I am still usually full because they produce at high speeds. Don’t fret if your looted. Just continually collect while you’re on & ppl usually leave you alone. If they steal, collect & drop all your colonies if they are going after one after the other so they stop scoring FEATS off you then search out their colonies & do the same.

You can attack colonies owned by other factions ONLY. Some planetoids are occupied by native creatures (usually a grayish symbol) these planetoids are usually easily colonized. Redder symbols are strong colonies that can be looted only. These too can be lucrative. Planetoids colonized by other factions can be looted, or seized (stolen) earning you rss, & FEATS. Seizing them will usually earn you reprisal as they usually come back to seize it from you. I usually seize then abandon if I am trying to make a point or just fishing for more FEATS.

If your strength is high enough & they are protected by clones you can weaken them one strike after the other. Clones retain damage and over time you can defeat them & steal their planet and earn FEATS yourself. You can rank in the FEAT list and earn even more at weeks end by rank prize. I have actually resorted to just looting them. Weakening their clones to ultimate defeat which makes for a lucrative constant source of rss. Occasionally they will replace the clones, but I just beat them back again. Over time they give up as it costs them their cloning devices. They just sit and take it or rarely they drop their colony & move on. You also earn feats every time you loot. Feats are in lesser quantity when looted, higher qty when stealing. Just be careful not to agitate the wrong person. They could retaliate by haunting your colonies or hitting you in competitions such as chest collection. But by hitting them back and becoming as ruthless as them can sometimes earn respect & a truce. Even being a thorn in their side by preventing them from collecting chests, especially lucrative (credit) ones can be persuasive. But it does cost you in repair rss. Just make sure your well stocked & ready.

    Collecting RSS

You’ll notice an icon above friendly (same faction), or neutral planetoids. The RSS available are in much lower quantities than looting but can still be lucrative & is one of the requirements in daily task. Although you can also collect & sometimes come across a bonus chest to earn you items & materials that are useful.

    Mini Games

    Virtual Battle:

This is an easy battle game that costs you nothing. Your ships get destroyed & rebuild after every battle at no cost because it is all virtual. Expect to be matched with strong players & lose A LOT when you first start out. Over time you will see your self matched from time to time with players more your range that you can win. You are awarded something every time you play up to 20 plays so the game is paying you just to compete. Virtual Battle credits you can spend in the shop. At the end you are rewarded rank prixes. (FEATS, & VIRTUAL BATTLE CREDITS) All can be spent in shops. Each win you get you gain FEATS & Virtual battle credits. Losses you just earn Virtual Battle Credits. You also gain extra prizes for completing a number of battles, & earning wins.

    Chest Exploration

The more planetoids you unlock the more chances you have to get to chests during this event. You cannot gain access on locked planetoids.

Chests give rss, credits, Tokens, items, etc. There are three chests on every planetoid starting with Bronze, then silver, then gold. Each chest requires certain levels of power to compete so be sure to review the power level of each chest. You can sometime see credits on first chest, sometime you have to dig to find them. Be aware that some players pounce on credits & will beat you for them. Some respect first come first serve & will leave you alone. This is also where being a member of a squadron can help, or making powerful friends can help. You can call them in to take out your attacker & prevent them from gaining you spoils. Of course your friend gets it but that is better than your attacker profiting from your loss. They also pounce on big rss gains, and sometimes just to gain points on the board for the reward at the end. Even when your attacked & lost you still gain 5 points on the board. Often times you will find your attacker in 1st place, you in second with just the small points. Not everyone competes in attacks because they are too focused on getting those prices in the chests. The rss are worth it in the reward so don't get too mad when someone pounces. You can still gain from it.

    Joining Squadrons

This will be my last entry tonight.

Joining squadrons is extremely beneficial. You not only gain allies, but it opens a whole lot more opportunities to gain other monetary items, ships, & most importantly FRIENDS. These people will go to bat for you if needed, or your being harassed. You contribute small amounts of rss to gain monetary value to spend squadron points in the squadron shop to buy items, rss, & more importantly more ships. Keep in mind though that there are limited amounts of each item, so you need to keep your eye on the shop to see when it refreshes because it is first come first serve. Always keep in mind that everyone in your squadron is trying to build & grow just like you so don’t get frustrated. Just be the first to get in there & get your item. The leader can spend squadron points to refresh early too but he is limited in the amounts available to do that & usually must do it sparingly. Just be patient. You will get to them from time to time. I myself bang my keyboard. DON’T BE A KEYBOARD BANGER. It can get costly…

I will try to update as I can. I hope this information is helpful at getting you started.

Happy Gaming, & enjoy it! ?
