In the climax of the original Ghostbusters film, the villainous Gozer the Gozerian proclaims that it will begin the end of the world by summoning the destroyer, in a form chosen by the Ghostbusters. Although Egon Spengler, Winston Zeddemore, and Peter Venkman all successfully clear their minds of any thoughts to prevent the choosing, Ray Stantz is unable to do so, and forces himself to think of something that couldn't possibly harm anyone - Mr. Stay Puft, the mascot for Stay Puft Marshmallows. However, Gozer keeps its word, and a hundred-foot tall incarnation of the corporate icon appears in the street, cutting a swath of destruction across New York.
