Take a look at this page:  http://www.zazzle.com/street+fighter+tshirts

I'm sure anyone who knows what a quarter-circle forward is will notice something terrible with most of the "Hadoken" shirts.  Though I must say some of those Gouki "Heaven" shirts look pretty awesome.

Isn't that the motion for a hadoken?

The fail is that it's spelled "Hadouken", yet 90% of these shirts say "Hadoken".

A lot of english speakers spell it Hadoken, since it's pronounced that way, since 'ou' in japanese is just a more distinct 'o', not 'oo'. It is a mistake, but casual players probably won't notice.

Isn't that technically supposed to be "Hadōken", then? I see "ō" used interchangeably with "ou" when people write in rōmaji.

Exactly.  Sound of "ō" = ou, and since "ou" is easier for English speakers to know how to pronounce, that's what's used the most.

Very bland shirts, I doubt even hardcore fans would wear them.

I actually bought the first one on that page, the Ryu Fireball, and I love it.

But yes, people who spell it "Hadoken" are bad people.
