    Various websites say the 17th  every store i've called says the 18th, which is it?

    The date given is usually the day it ships from the distribution centers. Then it goes to the stores and gets stocked. Some store closer to the warehouses might get their copies today but most wont be selling them til tomorrow. This is how it always works.
