After nearly a decade in hiatus, Capcom's signature mainline fighting game series resurfaces with its fourth main installment, combining the traditional 2D gameplay with modern fully-3D graphics.
Yeah this is SF4 not "SF2 super trubo HD remix tournament Spec-V in your face" edition. The main difference being this is a completely new game and not just adding on new stuff and refining the same old past stuff to a newer product. So there is no "old" version to be had.
Putting it that way, it makes sense now! But it would've been so cool if SFII HDR was ilke an unlockable! Or something else.... like the original SFII!
Doubtful seeing as how theres already so many versions of it available (collections, downloadable, etc.) so you figure anybody who picks up SFIV already has some version of SFII. As for unlockables I'd like to see more outfits and backgrounds, hell maybe down the road more characters as downloadable content? They could chuck in the original Street Fighter (complete with muffled voices) as a history lesson.
Due to the release of SSFIIHDR, it is doubtful, like many have said. I also expect that they still plan to release the other games through download services, updated or not.
