It's like a dream coming virtual.

Gotta be honest, when I first picked up this game, I was thinking it's going to be dull and boring, well, I guess I was kind of wrong.
Sure, there was no Intense action, or super developed combat system, nor RPG elements that I love so much, and sometimes certain levels could piss you off (Damn you, bowser), but all I can say is that this game had one of the most beautiful designs I ever watched, everything is toy-like, vey kid-friendly in a way, and yet, it looks awesome, enemies are damn cute, but also damn tough, so for the first time you will look at an enemy you will think probably "Oh look how cute this muchroom like creature is", that is until he charges at you, but enough about the design, let's speak about gameplay, without giving out any spoilers.
Basically your goal is to gather as much stars as you can, just like Super Mario 64, by gaining stars you will unlock access to more galaxies, in which you will find more stars, that will give you access to more galaxies, and so on, until you reach the final level. I said I won't be giving out spoilers, and I won't.
So in Super Mario Galaxy you have almost all types of gameplay, you have racing levels, you have levels that use the wiimote's motion control, levels you have to battle through,  puzzle levels, boss levels, more levels than you could imagine!
Oh well, now I sound like a commercial.
Anyway, in each levels you will find coins and star bits, these will come in handy, because for each 50 star bits or coins you gather, you recieve aditional life, yes, this game is based on life, and isn't like today's ordinary games who are based on quicksave, in this game you cannot save unless you completed a level, WARNING: can be frustrating!
Also, you may find a hidden star inside a level, often by feeding star bits to a hungry luma (pink star) that will launch you to a new star created in the galaxy, there you will need to overcome a certain challange to get the hidden star.

So basically Super Mario Galaxy is a frustrating, star collecting game, that looks awesome, and if you want challange, and games that feel old school, but look next gen, it's a game for you.

For the longest time, it seemed like something was amiss from Mario games. I would argue that it has been at least a decade since this “it factor” vanished. The product of this missing “it factor” was soulless gimmick titles like Luigi’s Mansion and Mario Sunshine. For awhile it seemed like Nintendo acknowledged this too, with shameless reaches at nostalgia like New Super Mario Bros and Yoshi’s 2. These were titles struggling to recreate the magic of better games by imitating them, step by s...

The Wii has its "killer app" 0

To be blunt, Super Mario Galaxy is a great game. Obviously the best the Wii has seen in this year it has been out. This is basically the game that nearly every Wii owner bought their Wii for. This is the game that hardcore gamers have been begging for. Although it is a fantastic game for longtime Nintendo fans, new and non-gamers will love it as well. For example, my six year old sister saw me playing this and asked if she could start a file. Nintendo has nailed it. The story, as in every other...
