    Evo 2K10 is finally upon us. I wanted to make this thread early that way people were sure to see it and also just to generate more hype. For those of you who know what EVO is all about Ill try to keep this basic run down short and to the point. Evolution is the biggest fighting game tournament in the world with thousands of competitors coming from all over the globe to compete to prove they are the best. If you want to make a name for yourself you go to Evo. If you want to know who to watch out for in the next generation of players, you go to Evo. Evo is a pretty big deal. Its like the FIFA of fighting games.  
     
    This year Evo is being streamed with conjunction of Level | Up and G4 tv. This is actually the first time (that I can think of) that a fighting game tournament was getting this sort of main stream press. G4 also even plans on airing a 30 min special about the tournament in late July.   
     
    The games are: 
    •  Super Street Fighter IV
    • Tekken 6
    • Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix
    • Tatsunoko vs. Capcom
    • Marvel vs. Capcom 2
    • Melty Blood: Actress Again
     
    You'll find the stream here. Coverage gets underway next Friday, July 9th at 9 a.m. PST ( 11 a.m. EST)    Ill embed the stream into this post when the tournament finally gets underway (as long as I dont get shit on).  
     
    Here is the schedule. All times are PST and approximation
      
    Friday, July 9th
     9AM-noon Tatsunoko vs. Capcom Pool Play
    noon-midnight SSFIV Pool Play

    Saturday, July 10th
    9am - 1pm Tekken 6 Pool Play
    1pm - 3pm Tekken 6 Semi-Final Bracket (highlighed matches between the top 64 players)
    3pm - 9pm SSFIV Semi-Final Bracket (highlighed matches between the top 64 players)

    Sunday, July 11th 
    10am-12pm Melty Blood, Actress Again Tournament finals
    12pm-2pm Marvel vs. Capcom 2 Tournament Finals
    2pm-4pm Tatsunoko vs. Capcom Tournament Finals
    4pm-4:30pm SSFIV Women’s Invitational Finals
    4:30-6pm Super SFII HD Remix Tournament Finals
    6pm-8pm Tekken 6 Tournament Finals
    8pm-9pm Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Exhibition
    9pm-11pm SSFIV Tournament Finals     
     

    Also me and Gambit will start trying to think of ways we can chat while we watch the stream. I know he has his own chat room or there is the possibility that we might use Skype for those who want to voice chat. If anyone has any suggestions feel free to post them.

    It's cool G4 is helping out, but why are they using Stickam?  UStream is good enough.
     
    As for the chat thing, there is the SFIV Steam group chat thing we could use.  For voice chat we should probably use Skype.

    In actual talk about hype for EVO, Justin Wong and Marn just beat every other country except for Japan in ESWC so maybe, just maybe, guys like Ryan heart (Prodigal son, lol, and they call Marn arrogant), Luffy and anyone else that wants revenge should go to America to even things up.

    If you're talking about Buk, he did commentary for us at NorCal Regionals last year, CVS2. He's actually pretty good at breaking down the game for the online viewers.
