    Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All Stars

    *Can combo her level 3 from Tenshouu Kyaku

    JUN THE SWAN
    * Her assist leaves a bomb on hit now
    * Can combo after landing the light illusion swan special

    ALEX

    KEN THE EAGLE

    MEGA MAN

    ROLL

    CASSHAN(yes he's called that now)
    * Denkou punch causes stagger on hit
    * Electricity effect added to his electrical attacks (visual)

    KARAS
    * 236A sword spin special is slightly slower
    * [4]6B > 236A > 6B is now a 3 hit combo on an air-born opponent. The 6B comes out with no delay. Not sure if it's still an overhead.
    * Can no longer combo level 3 super from throws.

    TEKKAMAN
    * Can combo better (needs elaboration)
    * Seems a bit faster (needs confirmation)
    * All hits of his chargeback Space Lance throw can now combo into Vol Tekka beam super

    PTX-40A
    * Riot tackle knocks back further
    * Normals do more damage
    * Guns seem easier to chain (unconfirmed)
    * [2]8 chainsaw special knocks down on hit
    * 623AB chainsaw super is much stronger
    * some normals are faster
    * j.5C will combo all 5 hits if done on an airborn opponent
    * Fire effect added to all thruster attacks (visual)

    GOLD LIGHTAN

    VIEWTIFUL JOE

    IPPATSUMAN

    DORONJO
    * Normals deal more damage

    YATTERMAN-1

    POLYMAR

    BATSU
    * Fireball no longer causes knockdown on hit

    KAIJIN NO SOKI
    * Counter special now causes the opponent to go into a slow crumple on hit
    * 236C can wall-bounce
    * Oni mode no longer has special hyper armour, but causes Soki to draw out 2 souls per hit and retains the ability to absorb souls even after the super ends. Further details are needed.

    MORRIGAN
    * standing string now combos into 5C
    * Valkyrie turn is slightly faster and can be canceled

    Why not wait for the game to be out? These guys are just watching the trailers (of  a yet unfinished version) and trying to make out differences, it's not gonna be anywhere near a complete list until the game's out...

    Nice to know that Capcom is going the extra mile in improving the game before its localized release.  I do wonder who the new characters they're including are, though.

    Yeah, it's good news, so good it means I have to buy the game again :(. Hopefully the new characters will be very fan focused.

    IGN will be exposing the new characters eventually, with this feature, once the embargo is lifted.

    Capcom's Ryota Niitsuma, the producer of Tatsunoko vs Capcom:UAS, has discussed some of the changes in the Western game.


    VideoGamer.com: Will there be any differences between the western version and the Japanese version?

    RN: Quite a lot actually. The biggest feature would be the addition of new characters, but we will also be tweaking the design of the interfaces. We will be changing some sounds. We will be re-recording voice-overs, we will be recalibrating game balance given the responses we had from the Japanese users, obviously minor bug fixes, and we will also be changing the content of the mini-games that were in the Japanese version.

    ...sounds like a lot of effort is going into this version...

    Yeah, both the US and Europe, all they are saying is Winter for the U.S and sometime in early spring 2010 for Europe.

    Yeah, I read it yesterday. Well, online play is a must for the western version (I don't think no cares about online in Japan). I didn't expect they be adding more characters.

    The newer characters I do want to see in the western  version is a Power Stone character (Wang Tang), and a Final Fight character (Guy). I just hope Capcom doesn't add Ken Master. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate Ken, but I don't want to see more shoto characters, and after seeing all those god damn Ken players on SFIV, Ken is the last character that I want to see in the game.

    So we're getting screwed on the release date again, huh... whatever, I'm used to it. Spring 2010 actually sounds pretty good - with all the big releases later this year, I wouldn't have been able to pick it up anyway.
