Simple.
1. Update it
2. Put it on the Marketplace

Team Fortress 2
Game » consists of 12 releases. Released Oct 10, 2007
The long-awaited sequel to the class-based first-person shooter Team Fortress Classic sports a unique cartoony visual style, more accessible gameplay, and a very large amount of updates and new features since its original release.
Here's how you expand Team Fortess on the 360.
Sadly I don't think it's that simple. According to Valve problems with bringing the update to consoles have included Microsoft wanting to charge for it and Valve not wanting to charge, lengthy certification processes and problems with making the update small enough to be a reasonable download for users.
It's gotten to the point where I would gladly buy another disk at full price, so probably $40, for new content.
If the 360 version had new weapons for every class, the current official maps, and the current modes I would never play the PC version again.
Barring the occasional curiosity in new items.

I think that's why there's no BBC iPlayer on Xbox.
It's not a simple as just putting it on marketplace. There's is no issue with Microsoft wanting to charge for it, and valve wanting it to be free. The issues are to do with the memory of the 360. In april valve said:
I'd assume that they've stumbled into more issues with the memory, and thus we still don't have the update. That statement shows that the update was being worked on and was going to come out - so I'm assuming any issues that Valve & Microsoft had about pricing were sorted out a long time ago.The XBox 360 update is still being worked on. If you're wondering what's taking so long, since the content is "done" on the PC already, it's mostly been around fitting it all onto the XBox. The original version of TF2 in the Orange Box was very close to the XBox's memory limit, and all the additional TF2 content we've produced has pushed well beyond it. We've found a couple of nifty ways to get back a bunch of that memory, but it's turned out to be a lot of work, and that's what most of our time is being spent on. In the meantime, we're going to get a code update out to address the server cheating that's going on.
I had no idea there was still such an urge to roll with tf2 on the 360 -
not trying to sound 'troll' or 'fanboy' here -but i picked up the orange box on the 360 (cos i wanted achievements for playing through mah half lifes ^_^) and figured i'd give tf2 a whirl, after half an hour i decided t ochalk it up to experience and never loaded it again - maybe i should give it another whirl?! i had no idea peeps were so stoked on it
TF2 on the 360 should be avoided at all costs anyway. That is the most PC-centric game on Orange Box and really should be played on the PC anyway.
That and the updates are many, free, and awesome on the PC.
I too would buy an updated version of TF2 on 360. OR, I'd buy a content pack once all these updates are done on the PC version.
That sounds like one of the coolest objects ever. I'd play my 360 more often if I wasn't so fucking lazy. You want me to walk across the room and physically put a disc in the drive?! MADNESS!" If Valve bought Microsoft it would be the Steambox 360. "
But seriously, I would love to be able to send in my physical copies for a download voucher attached to my gamertag. I'm so over physical media.
I really am surprised they don't just sellit by itself via Games On Demand. Sure the whole orange box is worth the full price, but some people have no interest in the sigleplayer games; and the same oppositely for multiplayer. I stand beside my prediction that MW2 will eventually be split into three separate downloads at $20 each, and most of us MW2 addicts will still buy the multiplayer section again simply for the convenience of impulse playing without disc swapping.
BF1943 sold so much so quickly for a reason, and it certainly wasn't hype.

But this begs the question: Why not just buy it on PC? I mean, last time I checked, this game still had DirectX 8 support. Don't tell me your computer can't run it.
the fix is to buy the PC version. i bought orange box a couple of months after the game came out played a little bit of tf2 didn't like it to much because there weren't a lot of servers. bought it on the PC and now really like it. there are a lot of great servers and maps that the 360 version doesn't have.
"I just got back into TF2 after months and months off and there are still plenty of servers, two years after release."Of course there is it's at times more populated than CS and CSS.
I agree with the people saying there should just be a new disc version, maybe a $30 game or something. Too much time has passed for an update. The game is WAY too big for a marketplace release. Must be over a gig worth of new content so far.
360 version will never be as good as the pc version because M$ has a closed system. So just get the pc version.
" 360 version will never be as good as the pc version because M$ has a closed system. So just get the pc version. "Honestly that game is made for a keyboard and mouse.
" If Valve bought Microsoft it would be the Steambox 360. "Then, with the purchase of Atlus, Valve can make Steambox Chronicles.
It's like a 10 gig game. Does the 360 offer any games that are that big for download at the standard TF2 price (20$ or under)?" Simple. 1. Update it 2. Put it on the Marketplace Easy. "
And, of course, you'd have to wait til TF2 was TOTALLY PERFECT AND FINISHED for this to work, since MS is ridiculous about letting small updates through. In other words, look forward to this in about 12 months to never.
Or better yet, just start saving for a graphics card. TF2 runs pretty well on all sorts of PCs.
