The fifth installment in Bethesda's Elder Scrolls franchise is set in the eponymous province of Skyrim, where the ancient threat of dragons, led by the sinister Alduin, is rising again to threaten all mortal races. Only the player, as the prophesied hero the Dovahkiin, can save the world from destruction.
Skyrim PC Screenshot Thread ᴕ SPOILERS ᴕ
@Fattony12000: Esbern ain't black?!?!
Someone should post a screen from the top of the throat of the world. It looks excellent on console it must be boss on PC.
Someone else get the feeling that still images can't do this game justice?
In anyway. I fully appreciate most screengrabs here. I really hope you'll stick with the posting when the seroius modding begins :)
@Creamypies: As an owner of the PC and 360 versions (i.e. crazy person), I can assure you that the PC version is capable of looking far better than its console brethren. Even on medium settings the PC version wipes the floor with the 360 and PS3 versions.
Some towns and stuff. I finally managed to get off the couch to take some screens, which sucks because this game is full of beautiful locations.
This is all on medium settings (high textures) by the way. Can't wait to upgrade and play this at full blast, but until then I'm still very happy with how the game looks and runs.....Well except in Markarth, but whatever.
@wolf_blitzer85: Haven't been to Markarth, how bad is it on FPS? On Ultra with Mods, I'm getting at highest ~40 frames and at lowest ~15, you think I'll have a problem?
If you have major problems, try dropping the settings a bit. Shadows is a great one to start with since it's one of the more performance heavy settings. The game scales really well and even at medium settings, the game still looks fantastic. If you can stomach less than ultra settings, play around with them until you get a more consistent framerate. Towns are a great place to mess around with settings since they are heavily populated and there's a bunch of rendering going on. Once you get a decent framerate in the towns, you are bound to have a much smoother experience overall, since the wilderness areas are much less taxing on the hardware, even more so in caves and such where I get a constant 60fps.
@tekmojo:
Please tell me you made a video of them all fighting each other.....or screwing....either one's fine with me.
Bro, wow.I was riding my (now dead) horse to a quest and I saw this fire dragon doing a strafing run over a watch tower....there was a giant nearby and he got involved. Bad ass. Taken at 1080p with everything on max, click for the full image. I wish I had time to take the UI off for this one, but oh well.
