    The Fourth Wall

Game » consists of 0 releases. Released Jan 20, 2012

Similar to older platformers, players in The Fourth Wall are able to wrap from one side of the screen to the other. The core mechanic that the game is built around allows players to turn this screen wrap ability on and off, allowing the camera to follow the player until they come across a puzzle that requires a lock of the screen.

    Overview

The Fourth Wall is a game created by a group of students at DigiPen. The game is heavily inspired by puzzle-platformers like Braid and Limbo, and was created in Game Maker.

    Gameplay

Although the game is a platformer, the game does not consist of precise, pixel-perfect jumps. Rather, the platforming serves as a way to deliver puzzles involving screen wrap. The player is able to move left and right, jump, and lock the screen. As the player progresses, more complex obstacles are introduced, such as bouncy pigs and streams of acid and water.
