As I understand it, Master Quest is only available after you beat the game. Can anyone confirm this? This game is the only reason I currently have for getting a 3DS, and it has pretty much singlehandedly won me over. The only problem is that I've just started going through the game on my Gamecube, and would like to play 3DS on Master Quest.

I'd play Wind Waker on my Gamecube, but Ocarina is the only game I can even find. Weird.

I've got it in hand right now and there is no master quest option available to my incomplete save.

That's disappointing. Good to know for sure, though. I hope to pick this up one day.

WW never clicked with me. I never finished it, I got bored once I reached Hyrule and never touched it again.

Yep this game is the reason I've got my little 3DS fund jar on my dresser. Every paycheck I take 75 out of it towards a 3DS...thanks alot Zelda (I love you though).

can buy the system and this game with one other new one for a grand total of 284.48 from amazon using the deals they got going. The games will come a few days after the system but...ah well

buy the system for 250 and get 25 credit on your account, takes about 2 days for it to show up on your account, then buy zelda and one other game, maybe streetfighter, buy zelda and get one game for 50% off.

all for 284....not to bad. Strongly thinking of getting it...i have the cash was saving up for some new pc parts but...damn it lol

It should be unlocked on start. We've all played the original game already.

It's shitty. I don't think they realize that most of the people playing this will be adults who have played OOT millions of times already.

I'll get the game anyway to see the enhanced environments, but I might not care about playing MQ once I've gone through the original once.

It's a slightly harder version of OoT by having stronger enemies and different(harder) dungeon layouts.

@KingWilly: You take double damage, the entire world is mirrored, effectively making it harder because you don't remember the layout of dungeons so well etc.

Arrrgh, this is definitely true. I was absolutely aiming to have the Master Quest as my first playthrough on the 3DS. I've already played the main game through loads of times... My reasoning being that once I've played through the main game story AGAIN, I'm really not going to want to jump straight back in to play it again any time soon. Bah. Master Quest REALLY should have been available at the start, maybe with a big warning 'THIS IS VERY HARD' to put off new players.

Im almost finished the regular game, cant wait to start tearing through master quest. Just 2 temples to go after 17 hours. i love how much side stuff there has been so far and how fiendishly tricky they make some of the stuff, like figuring out how to get all the missing cuccos, that drove me crazy.

Master Quest isn't just like selecting Hard instead of Normal. A lot of the impact and cleverness of the mirrored layout requires you to have played the original all the way through to appreciate it, and though it might be hard to believe some people have never played OoT.
