    The Matrix Online was an MMORPG that continued the story of the Matrix franchise past the third film, 'Revolutions'. The game featured a unique 'Interlock' combat system, flexible skill allocation and a constantly evolving storyline that players could interact with. The game was shut down on July 31st, 2009.

    @oneangryzeus: According to Wikipedia (lol) he gets killed by a program known as The Assassin whilst trying to blow up a water treatment facility.

    Just your standard shooting apparently XP  Many believe he isnt dead though, guess we'll never find out lol

    Or maybe we will. Maybe the "end" of the matrix online will reveal something about him before the world explodes or whatever will happen.

    I actually laughed out loud when the assassin came through the tiny ass vent.

    It would have been more interesting if Morpheus got immobilized by gunshots, shot the assassin, then tried to crawl away before the bomb went off but didn't make it and got...decoded ...or whatever the fuck the bomb was doing.

    Lame shit.  I remember when I first read that thinking how misleading the hype for "continuing the Matrix saga" had been : /

    The game was damned to a mediocre and obscure existence from early on, due to a plethora of reasons.

    Even so, though, I still <3 The Matrix, and this endurance run was hilarious and entertaining (even during some of the painfully dull gameplay)

    Cause after Sony bought the game they decide they didn't wanna spend the money to do cg cut-scenes so they switched to the stylized comic book stuff.  Also, the story just kept getting lamer and lamer from there on, that's why so many people quit playing.
