A new company is moving into the old office location of THQ. One of the guys who works for this new company took a few pictures of what they found when they went in.

There's something kind of sad about the pictures of all the awards and trophies that they left behind. I wonder if it was a case they didn't want them or didn't have time to grab them.

The Enter the Dominatrix poster seems to suggest that they were still working on that, maybe there's a beta copy somewhere. This really gets the TCRF in me fired up.

Thanks for sharing these. I agree that it is pretty sad seeing all this awesome stuff left behind. Cue the bidding wars!

We're they allowed to take anything with them? Since THQ went bankrupt, all of the assets (including this stuff left behind I presume) that belonged to the company was probably auctioned off. I'm sure there's legal reasons why they left all this stuff behind.

@zlimness: I'm sure your right and that's probably why stuff like the dev kits, the tv array, the THQ sign and the space marine statue where all left behind as they were all assets which would/should be sold off to try earn money back. But would an award given by an independent body count as an asset?

Seeing the three Darksiders 2 posters really makes me sad. Those games were so awesome, and they seemed to place a lot of hope on them... :(

Jesus, that's a lot of sad cool shit.

Especially the space marine, there are fan boys who would pay quite a high figure for that. I'm actually surprised GW didn't grab it somehow.

Well damn that is pretty sad. The wall of games did it for me, also the Saints Row IV and Stick of Truth posters...

Those design awards have no monetary value to anyone other than the THQ staff who earned them. I hope the fellas in there now can round them up and give them to some former THQ people. :/

I recall, if not mistaken, a GI article from THQ offices had a picture of them in front of that Space Marine. And yes, it is sad. My question, seeing those awards and such, did they not care, or didnt want any reminders, or didnt get a chance to pack? PK, find these people and ask, i have to know!

@me3639: The awards, and everything else left around, became the property of the bankruptcy consolidators when the company went under. They probably just sold the property "as-is" so that they did not want to deal with having to throw away stuff that they could not sell.

@zlimness: This is the stuff that always gets left behind. There's no market for it and disposing of the stuff costs so much creditors actually lose money if they take it. You see it all the time with junker cars in personal bankruptcies; the debtor agrees to surrender the car, but the creditor won't take it since it would actually cost them more to tow it and market it to someone else than they can earn by selling it. You see a lot of cars get redeemed by the debtor for some token amount like $1 this way.

I think SR4 was what Enter the Dominatrix turned into. The Enter The Dominatrix dlc for SR4 is presented in an interview style where the characters in the game talk about the cancelled dlc for 3. That asian dude on the poster is in it IIRC.

That's so sad- like for serious.

I hope they round up those awards and ship them to somebody from THQ. They shouldn't leave those behind (although throwing away awards is not uncommon).

That is super sad. THQ while not always on point had some great stuff in its last few years. If only Johnny Gat could have saved them. :(

The abandoned awards and wall of games are really sad. Especially since toward the end they were putting out amazing stuff.
