Tony Hawk's Proving Ground for the PS2 is a very good game and anyone who loves the Tony Hawk series and does not have a Xbox 360 or PS3 will enjoy. Even though its short ( just about 5 hours) the story is nice but the ending (or lack there of) was disappointing. The graphics are good and pretty sharp. The animations are smooth and the framerate is solid. The levels are massave and are really fun to play. The soundtrack to the game is suprizingly good. There are alot of punk songs plus new songs from The Smashing Pumpkins, Foo Fighters, and Voltera. The gameplay is amazing (like always) and Nail-the-Trick is even better. You can now rotate your body like in the Xbox 360 version of Tony Hawk's Project 8. This year they have added Nail-the-Grab where you use the analog sticks to grab the board. You can also do fingerflips by doing a semicircle with one of the analog sticks. Also new new to Proving Ground is the rigger kit. With the rigger kit you can build ramps, rails, and funboxes in the levels. Another new feature is Aggro kick and skate checking. Aggro kick is a timing based thing where you press R1 to get an extra speed boost to clear huge gaps. Skate checking lets you punch pedestrians and they go flying! The Create-a-Skater is very indepth and totally makes up for last year. A few things I don't like is that is that there is no skate lounge, online play or any good multiplayer. I really wanted to make a cool lounge and I love Tony Hawk online so I was sad to see no online. The 2 player mode only has 3 game modes: Freeskate, Graffiti, Trick Attack, and HORSE.
