    I've tried LB and the half RS turns and get nothing... Does it have to do with fatigue?

    Really it is just about timing, you have to do it when your opponent is not blocking transitions. Oh and for the most part, holding LB is the quickest way to get up, but it can also be quite abit more difficult than just doing small transitions until you stand up.

    Get to full guard with him postured up, then use a minor transition to get to standing.
