    Overview

Veigues Tactical Gladiator is a fast-paced side-scrolling game featuring an enormous mech suit that can both shoot and punch enemies that appear in waves. The mech has a lot of shield strength, which slowly regenerates if the player isn't being hit, but can eventually be overwhelmed. Parts will be destroyed as the shield drops to zero, giving the player a small amount of extra shield but removing functionality in the process. Between stages, the player can upgrade various parts of the mech with points they earned from defeating enemies and ending the stage with a lot of shields.

Veigues Tactical Gladiator was originally released on the NEC PC-8801 computer in 1988. A graphically enhanced version was released for the TurboGrafx-16 and PC Engine in 1990.
