I was at the Monza race 2 years ago, sitting in front of the Ascari corner. Vettel had an 18 second lead in front of Alonso, it looked pretty rough as I consider myself a Tifosi.

@dannyodwyer: Remember that there has actually been a case where video game racers competed against each other to be allowed to train as an actual race car driver. It's not completely unheard of.

@hassun:Yeah NissansGT academy is just that, people compete in Gran Turismo then race in real cars.

Jann Mardenborough a graduate from that driver program were in a LMP1 car at Le Mans and races in GP2.
