I'll be skipping this one... I don't get Dan (never have) and between Jeff's weird entitled world and Dan's indescribable one, I can't see me me being able digest them talking together. Glad for others that are excited, but not the type of content that makes me excited.

So it's a show seemingly specifically designed to trigger all the people that are triggered by Dan being Dan. What could possibly go wrong?? Glad to have you back on the bomb, Dan!

I was excited to hear Dan was coming back but none of these new non-video game related shows are appealing at all... my premium sub expires at the end of the year... 2021 might be my last year as a subscriber the way things are looking and that makes me sad

I think I’ve reached my Bakalar limit. And I wish this show would have premiered three weeks ago.

Prediction: that show is gonna be at least 20-30% Dan asking about home ownership/maintenance. "is that pipe water or gas?"
and Bakalar groaning that Dan cut all his coax cables followed by a20min discussion about MOCA.

Extremely happy to finally see a friendly face back on the site. It's unfortunate it's in this context. I don't need a whole series about Bakalar being pompous and trying to make himself feel smart. Just a little positivity from the site would be nice. Dan, thanks for coming back for this all the same. You're much appreciated and your energy is top tier as always.

In Dan's defense, MOCA costs a fortune and he can still attach a CAT-6 to one end of the cut-off coaxial and fish it through the wall that way, so I think he made the right choice.

I really can't see how the cost of a MOCA set up is worth it unless your house is enormous and your Coax was professionally run when you built it.

fwiw I was with you on this initially, but Borne to Run is starting to turn into some meta thing, with cutaways and allusions to something deeper (possibly even commentary on games coverage in general and this type of show you think it's going to be). I'd be surprised at this point if it ends up even being a let's play by the end. The latest episode in particular is worth a look if you've not seen any of it.

As long as this series is Jeff actually answering Dan's questions and explaining the topics, and not just "DAN! How do you not know this?!" for 11 weeks, this should be a lot of fun.

Welcome back, Dan.

I like Bakalar, and Dan, and am sure I'll like Bak 2 School, but when Gerstmann said Bakalar was coming in as Head of Games, I believe, I wasn't expecting the sort of shows we've been getting lately. None of them are nearly replacements for the Hot Spot, which was four old guys (my age) talking about their experience with video games going back almost to the beginning.

If this doesn't end with Dan doing a tripe lindy over Jeff... I look forward to the end.

This show has potential, so I'll give it a shot.

On the one hand, Dan sometimes doesn't know some everyday knowledge, so this is a deep vein of content. On the other hand, the moments where "Dan doesn't know a real life thing" were usually organic moments during podcast conversation, so the big risk with this show is that it may come off as a little forced if the "thing Dan doesn't know" is predetermined as the focus of an episode, and you're fishing for a topic that Dan is ignorant of.

@nthnmllr: you're right about that, I'm an episode behind but i like the, er, repetition theme that Danny seems to riff on. the comment wasn't meant as a jab against Borne to Run, I'm digging all the new shows so far - even though I admit Albummer is a LOT of "new" personalities to deal with.
