Echo on the camera work / production.  Ideal format would be a guy saying "We made this" and cue only in-game footage and no prerenders.

Codemasters, easily one of the best racing developers about.

Just sucks they can't get F12009 out until next year.

Awesome!  I loved the first DiRT.  This one looks 10x better.

Still haven't finished the first one, but I'm not a huge racing fan tho I've always liked the Colin McRae games.
This definetly looks awesome and I will most likely get it after I finish the first one.

I like what he said about the particle/water physics and the handling of the car. I was sort of lost when he talked about realistic lighting, I just saw more bloom. When was there footage of night? He started talking about night and then it was even brighter than the daytime from all the bloom/lights.

I want this to be good, really, I do. Really want to see what they are doing with the F1 game as well though.

The problem with Dirt and Grid for me was the lack of focus. I loved the rally, rally cross etc but hated garbage truck races and hill climping with a huge truck and all that stuff, but you have to eventually do all that to complete the game which is why I never finished the games.

DiRT was one of the few games i wanted to perfect my races on.

Here's hoping they actually drop the center-pivot handling that ruined the first DIRT and GRID - they would have been awesome racing games.

There are only one or two shots that give a sense of how the cars turn, and I'm not feeling the 'weight' he's talking about, but I'll keep my fingers crossed. The world needs another rally game on par with Rallisport Challenge 2, and so far nothing has reached that.

Please make the water on the windshield look better. Maybe its the size of the video, but meh.. it looks like a frosty, crappy, lame, premade water effect.

That's one thing I like about CM's racing games, and that's the fact that you can actually be in the driver's seat. None of the "hood" or "ceiling" view bullshit. I want to see my hands, wheel, dash, review mirror, side mirrors, dirty/wet windows/windshields, etc.

That's my major draw to their racing games, even if the customization of the cars is a bit limited.

That game is looking really amazing. I also totally like the building those guys are in.

Loved the first game, so even if this is just more of the same, then I'm sold. Hopefully they'll have some more hill climbs, which were my favourite parts of the game. 

Looks like all that footage was high end PC stuff....

From the moment the vehicle begins to move, I should be able to hear all the earthen minutia ravaging the wheel wells with a flurry of dings and rings. This cluster of sounds is non-existent, so their vaunted claims at sonic improvement are found wanting. If I want realistic engine noise, then I'll put my ear to an old Xbox 360 or play Gran Turismo.

However, it seems as though the Dirt 2 team has made good use of fractal iteration. I dare say that, the dirt trails produced are about as dynamic and meaty as Kim Kardashian's ass. Hot damn', it looks good! The paltry dirt effects employed in the entire Gran Turismo series has always been an object of derision in my eyes, but now I have Dirt 2 to placate me. Now, I wonder if it will aslo take Donald Trump another 11 plus years before he makes the dirt clod atop his head look realistic?

Im still so excited for dirt 2 I came back to rewatch this. Those sounds were so beautiful.
