Dreamfall Chapters: Book One Arrives on October 21

So glad this is coming to ps4. No way I would be able to run this on my hold ass PC. Really hope they kept that signature The last journey/dreamfall feel. If you like adventure games and you haven't played those you should fix that right now. They're the best games in the genre.

I really loved The Longest Journey and at least enjoyed the dreamy, nostalgic feeling Dreamfall invoked by managing to rekindle that feeling. I hope this turns out to be good.

So tacky. That alone tells me to stay away. Too bad, Longest Journey and Dreamfall are great.

I really wish I had the money at the time to back this.

I can't wait to play this, but it's going to be a while now. I have a huge back log and I need to play the originals again before hand as well.

This and Broken Sword are my favourite adventure game franchises. Love the characters so much.

I really really hope these games/episodes turn out great! The Longest Journey paired with Half-Life are my two big childhood games I've played countless times over the years, they are basically the reason I'm in to games at all.

@fishless: I have never considered to play a game or not based on how the characters are dressed. It never even came close to crossing my mind.

@fishless: That's kind of a weird reason to not give a game a chance. Haha. Especially considering how the first game was.

I liked the first game but Dreamfall was very disappointing to me. I felt like someone had forgotten to include the second half of the game on the disk, and nothing had really been accomplished or learned. Maybe this will properly finish the story but for me, I think it's too late. :/

Haha, I had the same thought when I saw this news. I loved that game, but the story ended just when it felt like it was getting started.

SOOO happy this series isnt going to end where it did. Was beginning to think that was gonna be the last we'd hear of Dreamfall

If I'd known this was going to be episodic at the time I backed I would still have put money in but not the ludicrous amount I did. I don't expect it to be bad, it actually looks like it'll be good, my worry is if they can get all the episodes out in a decent period of time.

There is a difference actually. The five episodes are called books. Each book contains 3 chapters plus an interlude I believe. Something to that effect anyway.

Time passes between the books (1-2 months between each I believe), so it's not just silly wordplay.

Dreamfall was such a great game. Hope this will be too.

About damn time. Now hopefully we won't have to wait 3-4 months for Book 2.

Umm i haven't played The Longest Journey yet , from the looks of it it looks similar to beyond : good and evil which i LOVED !! , will make sure to try this :) .
