E3 2016: Enter Phase 2 in South Park: The Fractured But Whole

Ugggh, PC Principal is awful.

I want to like this but I feel like they aren't going to change things up enough for me. I was barely hanging in at the end of stick of truth because it got so repetitive and after you unlock the top tier skills, there's no more fun to be had with the combat. The story last time was pretty good and broke the bad south park game curse, but this seems like it's got a bit of Ubi taint stink on it with its rehash formula. Maybe it will have enough in the writing to make it worth the journey because they definitely don't have it elsewhere.

I've watched the South Park portion of the Ubisoft presser twice and this trailer three times and I still crack up every time. I cannot wait to play this! The super hero angle is perfect and the new battle system looks really fun.

I know this game isn't for everyone, and South Park seems to wear on people after a while but I still dig the underlying commentary (sometimes not so subtle) that they shoot for and hit. The guys seemed really bummed in general during this section but I'm still looking forward to this - glad to see they're not just doing a reskin too, looks like new mechanics in combat and whatnot.

I love PC Principal.
