This is one of those games that I have an extremely high opinion of but I never finished. There's a lot of game here and the vast majority of it is of very high quality, but it doesn't move at a very fast pace. It's not something you can half pay attention to, or play for thirty minutes at a time, you kinda need to be able to say "OK, this hour or two is going to go towards Divinity Original Sin II and nothing else".

It also suffers from the long ass RPG problem of having a middle chapter that just meanders about and doesn't feel like it's going anywhere, which is where I stopped playing it.

Since my current PC isn't up to spec anymore I've desperately been waiting for this release. The first game was just amazing.

Hunh! Wonder how it'll run on regular PS4s. Might just get this instead of XCOM 2 WotC.

@mattchops: There's an Xbox One trial if you have that console. It played really well to me, but I didn't play it on PC. I'm definitely going to buy this.

This is where I'm currently at with Pillars of Eternity.

How does it play with a controller?

I switched between using a KB/M and controller when I played this on PC. There are a lot of functions crammed onto a controller and they did an admirable job of getting them all on there, although there are definitely some things that are still clunky when compared to the KB/M. If controls are your primary concern, you don't have anything to worry about.
