I don't wanna be the guy reading too deep into a 30 second trailer, but that's totally the bare arms, grey helmet with green armor classic Doom Marine look.

I don't know what that means, or if it would really mean anything, but Doom Guy bare skin is something I felt the absence of when the last one came out. There is supposed to be a guy in there. He's a killing machine, but he's not a tank, he's still in danger. Granted, they really leaned away from that, and a costume change doesn't mean they're leaning back into it, but, it's something I've been thinking about this whole time, so I want it to mean something.

I thought the Hell parts of doom were way more fun so this looks perfect.

Also looking forward to murdering creepy tall robot scientist.

"Doom Infinite....oh wait that isn't really original, is it?"

@mbdoeden: the instant I heard the tiniest hint of the music I knew what was in store, listen to the soundtrack for the first reboot all the time.

This is a dumb name and it should have been Doom 2 what the hell.

It's the year of infinites and eternals. The year of publishers saying they're never gonna stop making sequels.

But anyway, I'm super pumped for Doom Eternal and Rage 2. I've been loving the shooters that Bethesda has been putting out in the past few years.

Old doom guy is the correct doom guy.

I'm thinking this is either a prequel to the recent-most DOOM or it's a rogue-lite with eternal replayability.

The classic DOOM armor and the lack of a number in the title make me less inclined to believe it's a chronological progression of the last game at least.

Nice, the first game was great.

That is a goddamn Arch Vile in the end. Still the my favorite enemy in all of games.

I hope they make his attack somewhat easier to avoid than in Doom 2. In Doom 2, his attack would hit (and usually kill in one shot) if you were within his line of sight.

Bethesda is crushing it with their acquisition of id software. They've been cranking out some amazing games these last couple years outside of their two top franchises. If it's half as good as the first one it is gonna be great.

Weird that Halo Infinite already has this side-sequel announced.

@creigz: It's a shame they'll never open the source to another id tech engine ever again, arguably what has made the original Doom stand the test of time, but they are making a flashy product.

probably reading too much into it but hey

for multiplayer they should do DOOM royale: a hundred demons parachute into a hell pit with doom guy, everyone dies, the end.

The music sounds like Mick Gordon, and I really hope it is. He did some fantastic work with the previous game.

Doom 2: What The Hell? would have been an incredible name. I think I would've preferred Doom 2: Hell on Earth, but either would be better than "Eternal." Ugh.

Who am I kidding - I'm still going to play this and love every second of it. Can't wait.
