Shame the Switch can only support up to 8 controllers, since Killer Queen arcade is a 5 vs 5 game. As someone who has been fortunate enough to live within driving distance of one of the machines (Ground Kontrol, Portland, OR) I am stoked it's at least getting some kind of home release!

I mostly want to shout out that the game has expanded quite a lot since it's earlier days and the competitive scene continues to hop into new places. They're a fantastic group of folks no matter where you find it and they're always happy to see new players at any level.

If you're at all curious, go to the Killer Queen Arcade site and find your closest cabinet and it's next meet up event.

@marino: Correction, there are cabinets in Miami and Jacksonville. There's a grip of 5 or 6 more locations but I focused more on the cities that I hear come up more often in discussion. I'll add a couple more anyway. But you’re right, nothing in the Peach State.

I was super hyped about this game when I got to play it at logan arcade in Chicago. But on subsequent visits I found the machine crowded out by regular players who were rude/unfriendly. I'm happy this game will end up getting a wider release like this because it means I'll actually get to play it again.
